“Fabulous setting wonderful rooms and friendly hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

Booked this place based on Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Stunning rooms and setting with lovely hosts who struck exactly the right balance of being friendly and helpful but not intrusive. They recommended two places to eat - both excellent and good value. we loved Camps Bay and it feels a very safe locality. The attractions of Capetown are too numerous to list but we particularly enjoyed hiring racing bikes to cycle Chapmans Peak and walking up Table Mountain. There is a great walk up to the Twelve Apostles from directly behind the house - a fabulous walk to view the sunset. This place is truly beautiful.

We stayed at this beautiful B&B (Lavender suite) for the third time and it has been again a wonderful experience. The location is not only located in a quiet side street it is also located perfectly for all kinds of explorations into the city center and the area around cape town. Everything is perfect, whereby our favourites are the breakfast and the sundowner on the spacious balcony. This fantastic and braethtaking sea view.....unbeatable. Thanks again for wonderful days Pam & Steve. Hope to see you for the Cape Argus Race next year.

Room Tip: We stayed at Lavender room. Perfect Sea View....

This place is beautiful, the rooms, the garden, the pool area and of course the magnificent sea and mountain views. The hosts Pam and Steve are also very friendly, accommodating and helpful if you need suggestions. The location is perfect for exploring Cape Town and the Winelands (less than an hour's drive from the Winelands) and the accommodation and amenities all of the very best quality. We had one of our best holidays ever in Cape Town and Cape Rose Cottage was definitely a highlight.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. We have now had two fantastic visits to CPR and it is a very fine base to stay and for day trips to all that Cape Town has to offer. Very much looking forward to our next visit in the not too distant future!

Room Tip: The rooms upstairs have the best sea views

This has to be one of the most gorgeous places we have ever stayed. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. We even got up early one morning to watch the sun rise over the sea and the colours that were reflected were magical. A very special experience, not to mention the magnificent sunsets! Pam and Steve welcomed us into their home and they were perfect hosts. As reflected by the many other positive views this B&B is beautiful and very well kept. The gardens are also gorgeous and add to the whole ambience of the place. When you look down from your balcony you are not only looking at the magnificent sea views but also at the loveliness of the beautiful garden and it feels like you are in your own quiet oasis and yet you are only a short drive from the City and all of the main attractions so it is very conveniently situated. This is the perfect place to stay in Camps Bay.

Room Tip: The rooms upstairs have magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean

Needless to say, the first words of appreciation go to the hosts ( Pam and Steve). They made our stay as pleasurable as it could be. They helped us out with the maps, itinerary and a lot of other things. About the cottage and room, well the first thing we noticed was the attention to detail which was beyond our expectations. The view from the room was superlative. Loved the location of the cottage, Camps Bay is the place we would love to buy a house in future :) All in all, it was memorable and lovely experience. We would surely return to Cape Town, Camps Bay and Cape Rose Cottage :)

Room Tip: Take the Lavender Suite.

My husband and I stayed at Cape Rose Cottage after friends of ours who stayed last year highly recommended it. The cottage is absolutely charming with beautiful gardens and pool. The rooms are also beautiful and romantic with glorious views. We enjoyed our stay, the care and attention to detail, beautiful location and peace and quiet and not to mention the constant birdsong! The only thing that would have improved things was more time in this beautiful place. Can't wait to go back.
