“Atlanticview: excellent, luxurious, cool”
Reviewed November 13, 2009

My wife and I stayed a weekend at Atlanticview following a safari in northern S.A. Incredibly, the mountain and ocean views were even better than advertised. The combination of our room, daily delivered breakfast, and the personal attention from this small hotel's staff, who drove us everywhere in great cars at a moment's notice, made us feel like VIPs. The staff also made excellent outside dinner reservations for us. We highly recommend the winelands tour. As far as the hotel itself, all the white flat lines and the infinity pools give it a very cool feel. From the tranquil daytime environment to the friendly evening gatherings to drink wine by the pool, one gets the feeling that every detail of the hotel has been carefully and deliberately selected to make your stay as close to perfect as possible. We really appreciated this effort and hope to return again someday.

Absolutely fantastic boutique hotel. The location and views overlooking Camps Bay are incredible.
The staff are superb and treat you as family and will arrange anything you want from resteraunt reservations to Shark Cage Diving (highly reccomended).
The early evening get-togethers with free wine are great - everybody gets together and chats about what they have done and are planning on doing.
We stayed in the Pineapple Suite which was out of this world.Would reccomend a suite for the extra space. They are enormous.
Greg, the owner,is in contact with you all the time and will answer any questions you may have .
Once again a superb small and personal boutique hotel with an enviable location.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary in Atlanticview Cape Town and what a good decision that was! 7 nights in the Infinity Suite - pure luxury. Fabulous breakfast delivered to your suite each morning with rose petals. More rose petals and bubbles complimentary in our room on the day itself. Great clean airconditioned transport for just a little more than the local taxis. Really good management and staff - good attitudes to service! Nothing really was a problem. Only time that we had a bad meal is when we went away from their recommendations. Booked the Range Rover for a Winelands tour - way to go! Sundowners every evening and they are very generous with the wine.
Believe we missed the royal visit by Greg only by a couple of days!!
If there is anything worth mentioning that could be improved upon then I would say slippers please Greg. Also all the info says how important feedback is to all concerned but other than the guest book where everyone thanks the excellent team, I am unaware of any method to provide such...actually we were surprised that there was not one from Greg waiting in our inbox on our return!
Thanks again for an exceedingly wonderful experience!

This is a beautiful hotel nestled in a residential street above camps bay. The views are spectacular; the hotel is beautifully appointed and the staff are incredibly attentive and enthusiastic. My wife and I are lucky enough to have stayed at many wonderful hotels but after an evening reminiscing and trying to think of a better experience anywhere else in the world we couldn't. The only place to stay when visiting Cape Town

Our stay in this little bit of heaven on earth was in two parts, firstly in the Infinity Suite at the beginning of our trip and then in the Pineapple Suite at end, the rooms are quite simply stunning, with fantastic panoramic views, much, much better than the website shows the accommodation, service, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was unsurpassable without being overbearing a great team with a good sense of humour! Nothing was too much trouble, the Sundowners wine and canapes was a special time of day and a great way to meet and chat to the other guests we didnt meet anyone who wasnt toally satisfied with their stay.

Would we go again - YES in a heartbeat! Thanks to all at the Atlantic View for making our stay such a success..... Phyl and John xxx

Just wanted to say thanks for everything. We truly had a fantastic time in SA and your staff/team are a credit to you, your country and people that they represent. We found them courteous, helpful, professional, friendly and with, most importantly, a sense of humour...! Nothing was too much trouble and they were always very knowledgeable and able to offer advice.

Sadly only stayed for three days of our trip and no room at the inn for the last night on our return leg of our trip.

We arrived at 9am, much earlier than check in time and Greg, the owner, had advised that we might have to leave our bags and go for a wonder about town while until the room was available. Luckily the previous occupier had checked out early so we were offered breakfast while we waited for the room to be made up.

The room was amazing with fantastic veiws out to the Atlantic and table mounting from the terrace. The room was very tastefully decorated and we loved the bathroom with it's shower and seperate bath. My wife was over the moon at the heated floor too!

The staff took us out to some wonderful restaurants, Kove, Bungalow and our favourite Paranga. You just have to try the fillet steak marinated in balsamic vineger. They were very knowledgeable about the local attractions and were magnificent when the weather was bad too.

The complimentary canapés and wines at sundowners were a real treat which showcases South Africans wines and can confirm that I am now a convert.

We had a surpise after a night out at Paranga we returned to find someone had been in our suite while we were out. They had left behind a bottle of Champagne on ice and covered the bed in rose petals too. Amazing!

We had such a great time here with breakfast in our suite each day and will definately be returning.

We didn't use the fitness centre or salt water pool as it was a tad chilly and really liked the fact that the Mac for internet access was just outside our suite too.

Thanks once again to Greg and all the staff who have a great ethos of service, quality and customer intimacy. Well done to you all.
