Beautiful setting, cordial service, and elegant dining in Azure make this hotel a 5* experience. However, there were some drawbacks when we stayed at the end of July. First, the room is beautiful but the marble floor is cold and there are virtually no area rugs to warm one's bare feet on. Second, there was remodeling around the pool so some areas were roped off. When we left the spa in the evening, there were no lights near the steps which made it dangerous. Finally, I bought an expensive croc belt (not illegal since it was farm-raised) at the hotel, and was given a receipt so I could claim VAT at the airport. When I went to the VAT office, they denied payment since the VAT amount was not entered by the saleslady at the store. Before buying the belt I had asked for assurances that the VAT receipt was in order and she assured me that it was. To me this is inexcusable since they know what is required more than I since I'm not familiar with the system.
On the fantastic side, the hiking path behind the hotel had expansive views, in Azure the presentation of sorbet in a vaporish atmosphere was dramatic (they used liquid nitrogen), the service personnel were excellent from Lauren to the waiters in Leopard, the grill, and Azure. Overall, although our 3 night stay was expensive, it was worth the splurge.

Room Tip: The rooms on the first floor facing the mountains have a garden and waterfall outside. These are les...

If you want to feel like Donald Trump, I will strongly recommend you stay at the 12 Apostles Hotel.
From the reception when you 1st arrive at the hotel to your room to the outstanding service you get from everyone you are treated and feel very important. The room we stayed in had a beautiful mountain facing view it was breath taking.
The 3 course dinners we had at the Azure Restaurant was out of this world, we will definitely be going back again.

I must commend this hotel for the culture of service they have created.I have visited about 60 countries around the world and stay in very good 5 star hotels. But they are the best. When you hear about the way they recognize all their staff regardless of seniority, then you begin to understand why the service is so good.one small example, we ordered a freshly squeezed juice for breakfast with ingredients that are difficult to come by, and it was served 5 minutes later. The next morning at breakfast, we didn't have to ask, they simply served it.Then there was the constant greetings and smiles was everybody, the professional tours organised, the incredible views etc etc.
We will return next year and stay there regardless.

Room Tip: either mountain facing or sea facing, they are all great

This Hotel is worth every cent you pay. Professional & that feeling of exclusivity, I mean where will you get Champagne & Oysters as a choice for breakfast & a choice of 12 different pillows. We used all facilities and you don't have to drive anywhere because the shuttle service is brilliant. The rooms with a view are a must if you stay at this hotel and don't skip the bar, restaurant & patio outside for a sun downer while enjoying that awesome view.

This hotel is truly incredible. Stayed four nights for our honeymoon in July 2013 (coming from U.S). I cannot say enough about how wonderful the stay was. The hotel is beautiful (looking out over the ocean AND stunning views of Table Mountain). The staff was SO helpful and friendly and attentive to anything and everything we could ask for. We spent several days relaxing in the Leopard Bar enjoying some great drinks and sometimes even spotting a whale swim by. The hotel offers a free car service into town that was easy to use and only took a few minutes. The staff upgraded our room to a mountain view (which I would highly recommend-it was stunning). The front desk staff was so helpful in helping us pick out the most amazing activities...a trip up Table Mountain and Great White Shark Diving. (I was a bit nervous but they were pretty persuasive when they showed us their incredible pictures!) ...they were right, the experience was unbelievable. I can't thank everyone at the Twelve Apostles for the most wonderful trip of a lifetime!

Room Tip: Try a Mountainside view...it was so beautiful!
