Owner description: Just up Kloof Nek Road from the center of town is this thriving beach community. Plenty of trendy nightclubs, shops and cafes bring diners and shoppers, while tranquil seas and fine white sand draw sun worshippers and swimmers.

Cape Town had many facilities, Water Front, Table Mountain Cape Point etc but in our view the best value is simply driving out towards Stellenboch etc for wine farms or wineries.

“A Real Hub”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

A beautiful scenic and substantial crescent of beach with the spine of the Twelve Apostles as a back drop. Not much this bustling strip doesn't offer though parking can be a bit hectic and a challenge (go early or later if visiting). Plenty to see and do. Loads of eateries and watering holes with on pavement seating to people/scene watch. Street vendors with a great variety of knick-knacks (be sure to haggle). Colourful and throbbing. Good night life and great variety. The ocean is incredibly cold though; that's why a lot of home owners have swimming pools! Plenty of convenient accommodation near the front strip but I would suggest one of the guest houses further up the slopes of the Apostles. It was nice after a day out to just withdraw slightly from the noise and mayhem and the views up/down the coast of the sea and mountains from here exhausts superlatives. Depending on how far up you go it can be a bit of a hike but taxis do these trips regularly and cheaply - about $6 Australian. An added advantage further back is that there are beautiful walks to be had in Table Mountain park which the "front dwellers" are probably not aware of. There is a "Pick and Pay" (sort of supermarket) situated on the main strip to stock up on supplies. If you want to buy off the shelf alcohol (not from a bar) to have at your leisure it is about a 10 minute car trip away so stock up if you want to relax on the balcony and drink at your leisure. Few minutes to Cable Car, city and other renowned beaches such as Clifton. Great place to use as a place and explore further afield.

“Chillax on this wonderful, clean beach”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

There's nothing to dislike about Camps Bay Beach. Lots of great bars and restaurants when you need to top up anything other than your tan, and a really clean beach where you can catch the rays.

Watch out for the comforting cool breeze, though. You are burning, you don't even know it!

“Great place to stay”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

Camps Bay is so central for a visit to Cape Town. A real seaside resort with a lively front full of restaurants and bars. Great accommodation at the resort with wonderful views of Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles.
