Owner description: Just up Kloof Nek Road from the center of town is this thriving beach community. Plenty of trendy nightclubs, shops and cafes bring diners and shoppers, while tranquil seas and fine white sand draw sun worshippers and swimmers.

We had a fantastic family outing at Camps Bay Beach. The drive from Cape Town to Camps Bay Beach rivals the Pacific Coast Highway or Amalfi Coast for scenic views, twists, and turns. There is plenty of parking if you get there before lunch. We found an incredibly reasonable parking deck (only 10 rand an hour?) near the restaurant row across from the beach. There are plenty of umbrella and chair vendors, clean public restrooms, and several showers for washing off the sand. Be aware that there are constant beach vendors selling ice cream, jewelry, handicrafts and cool drinks. It reminded me of the beach vendors in Mexico, and didn't bother us too much. The passionfruit (grenadilla) popsicles were actually delicious and very refreshing!! We walked along the boulders bordering the beach, but the cold waters preventing me from going in any further than my knees. BRRRRR!

Over crowded, dirty and not a comfortable place to be. This place is to be avoided unless you like crowds and run down shops and restaurants.
I did not like anything!

Loved everything about Camps Bay, lovely white sand, fab restaurants, awesome waves, magnificent backdrop, sunshine, children's laughter, what more can you ask for. Red bus route stops here and only 10 mins in a cab from the V&A . You can also hire beds and umbrellas if you need them.

Really large, relaxed beach backing on to a great strip of eateries and bars. On of the sexiest stretches of Sexy Cape Town.
