“Good location - okay food”
Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

Well located opposite the beach in camps bay.
Reasonably priced food and wine.
We had really nice starters (pakora and chicken tikka) but we both ordered prawn dishes for our main courses and the prawns were mushy.
As a result my wife was ill the next day.
Hopefully this was a one off.

“Good Asian Food With Friendly Service”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

We have visited a few times over the years and its a good place to eat.The food is very good although it could be hotter ( more chillies) and no chapattis. but not bad value for money, with a good view of the sunset too

“Great Vegetarian Option”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

The Raj was a good discovery on our recent trip to Cape Town. This restaurant serves bot veg and non-veg and their wines are well priced. They also have a list of suitable wines paired to their popular dishes.
i had the ghobi muttar (cauliflor) and the chef added some aaloo to make it a delicious choice of 3 veg curry.Nice and spicey and it went well with the wholewheat roti I opted for.
My husband had the tandoori chicken.A liitle on the dry side but he was OK with it.
Service could have been better.Well priced restaurant in a beautiful setting overlooking Camps Bay.

“Good food, bad service”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Food was best Indian food we've had since moving to cape town 6 months ago. Service was awful. Waiter was very good at completely avoiding doing any work. We will have take out in future.

“Bad service!”
Reviewed January 11, 2013 via mobile

Bad service (wait time is too long) and terrible food. They did not even offer us water or anything to drink. Do yourself a favor, go someplace else.
