We ate here for dinner one evening as our preferred restaurant choice was fully booked (it was Christmas Day). First, the fish was some of the best we had in our two week visit. Thoughtfully presented and with a great choice of flavors. The desserts were also very good.

Unfortunately, this is where the positives ended. The service was very slow. I still don't understand how it can take 20 minutes to get a glass of wine when the bar is empty and only 5 meters from your table. The steak I had was cooked at medium well instead of medium rare. A shame as the flavor was very good. However, I dared not to send it back for fear of prolonging the dinner.

Also, the wine list when compared to others was a bit pricey and not as nice as others we had seen.

Of course, the views did compensate somewhat, but then again all the restaurants on the strand have views.

We also had breakfast here one morning. Food was good and we weren't in a hurry, so the experience was a bit better.

If you aren't in a hurry and want a bit of a night club vibe, it's not a bad choice, but there are better!

The Location is wonderful for sunsets / sundowners. Tables are positioned in such a manner that you are not sitting on top of other diners. We find that our guests are ALWAYS !! without exception taken care of in an easy non pretentious manner. Despite often only calling at the 11th hour for a booking we are met with the same courteous manner. Guests love the vibe, the service and the food. I have not, to date, had one single complaint !! I definitely have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending that you have at least one meal there whilst in Cape Town !!

Zenzero was suggested as an alternative in Camps Bay to the usual fish restaurants. It was italian and I can't say it was bad, but just seemed to lack something. They sat us far too close to another couple which made us feel uncomfortable and there were plenty of other tables available so that was unnecessary. I had seafood pasta which was too oily and incredibly salty, though hubby enjoyed his food. Not bad and would probably give it another go but insist on choosing my own table and try a different dish.
