We stayed in the Atlantic Suites Hotel as part of our Honeymoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & would recommend it to anyone, particulary any couple on honeymoon.
The staff especially Ian, Sally & Luan are very friendly & have a genuine interest in their guests. The breakfasts are off the highest quality.
The views of Camps Bay from the hotel are spectacular. The rooms are spacious and face out onto the swimming pool. We would highly recommend Atlantic Suites & would hope to return some day.

The Atlantic Suites in Camps Bay is the perfect place to stay in Cape Town.

Firstly, it is located in Camps Bay, a lovely neighbourhood with a fantastic beach and beachfront, gives you easy access to the rest of Cape Town and surrounding areas. In Camps Bay itself, it is located at the top with table mountain just above and benefits from the most incredible views. This also means that when the rest of Camps Bay is covered in mist for most of the morning (as is often the case), you are in clear sunshine.

The property itself is definitely 5 star accommodation. Each of the four suites - we looked at them all - are stunning to look at and luxurious to live in. We slept like babies for each of the seven nights we stayed here. The communal areas are equally as impressive.

What really makes this place stand out from the crowd of other high end accommodations in the area, is the level of service the owners, Sally and Ian, and their staff provide. Whatever needs we had, they satisfied quickly and beyond our expectations: information about the area, things to do, places to visit. They know all the restaurants in the area and have good relations with the best ones to help you with reservations. A special treat was having our laundry taken and reappear pristine the next morning, without us having to ask - a service they didn't even charge for, and something you have to pay through the roof for at hotels.

But the best part of our stay here was how we started each day – with the most amazing breakfast. Luan, the resident chef, has amazing talent and provides beautiful presented and absolutely delicious food. The breakfast spread is so impressive you can almost forget to look out at the amazing view over Camps Bay from the dining room....almost!

This truly is a memorable place. We will definitely stay here on future trips to Cape Town.

This has to be one of the most sumptuous small hotels anywhere, and I do mean anywhere. I say "hotel" because the phrase "guest house" (at least in UK terms) is spectacularly misleading. This is off the scale in terms of style, elegance, comfort and quality of service. As for the breakfast, think what the chef in a a Michelin 3 star restaurant could manage, and you get some idea.

Sure, it has no restaurant, but it's a short and cheap taxi ride into town. The trade -off is perfect peace and quite and a panoramic view over Camps Bay and the ocean.

It's not cheap, but it's one hell of a lot less expensive than any of the 5 star hotels in the area - and those are the only comparables in quality, size or room, etc.

This is not only the best kept secret in the Cape Town area - it's probably the single best place to stay, secret or not

I must admit that when looking for accomodation in Camps Bay Atlantic Suites were not the first place that appeared on our search - however we were very glad that we did. We wanted a place that had amazing views with high quality accomodation and Atlantic Suites was a great find.

Atlantic Suites is owned and run by Sally and Ian and on arriving at Atlantic Suites having following very straight forward directions form the airport we were met by Sally who quickly showed us to our room and explained how eveything worked in the house.

The room was very well presented, clean, spacious and well equiped. The room contained a nice sofa area with a TV, DVD and CD player. It was also well stocked with toiletries, towels, slippers bathrobes, hairdryer, iron and the small pantry was stocked with snacks fruit and the fridge was stocked with various drinks, spirits and mixers, loads of crockery, cutlery and even a picnic hamper. The batroom was large with 2 wash basins a shower and a very large wirlpool bath. Our room opened out onto the pool area with a stunning view over Camps Bay.

After giving us some time to settle Sally arrived with an amazing welcome tea. This was an example of the breakfast. We arrived for breakfast after a very good nights sleep to be met with a a selection of food that was of excellent quality and variety, this was fruit cereal, pastries, cold meats, and then followed by a hot breakfast. A meal which was throughly enjoyed with the most amazing view over the bay.

Sally and Ian were always happy to call a taxi or reccomend a place to eat or go to for the day, there local knowledge was so useful and appreciated.

As for Camps Bay / Cape Town and the surrounding area - were few words can descride the amazing sceneery, the great people and the food is out of this world.

Atlantic Suites is a fantastic place and worth every penny, the service and hospitality makes some the worlds top hotels feel cold and impersonal. Worth a vist you won't regret it. We are sure to go back one day.

We stayed at Atlantic suites in Camps Bay for 8 nights in the middle of November as part of our Honeymoon. This Boutique guest house is little known and we had a difficult time in finding it (Google search – Atlantic Suites Camps Bay) but, I cannot stress how pleased we are that we did!

The owners Sally and Ian are extremely friendly and accommodating people, when we arrived they showed us to our room (I will get to that shortly) and gave us information about the house and surrounding area. They then left us to unpack but did bring us a gorgeous Strawberry drink and some nibbles.

The Room

There are only 4suites at the guest house, 2 on the ground level and 2 lower ground level next to the pool with the owner’s penthouse on the top floor, and that helps to create a very personal and homely feel to the accommodation. Our suite had ample clothes storage, a TV with digital channels, a DVD hi-fi, microwave, kettle and a fridge with beer, wines, sprits, water and soft drinks which were complementary.

The layout to the room was incredible, there was a king size bed looking out of a large window and also a patio window onto the balcony which all then look out over the 12 Apostles to the left, Camps Bay ahead and the Lions Head to the right. Both the window and the patio window could be locked open, there was air conditioning but the weather was not that hot while we were there to require its use. Also in the bed area were 2 very comfy chaise longs looking out over the fantastic views

The bathroom was equally amazing, to get to it required walking through the middle of the wardrobe, almost Narnia-esc! Within the bathroom was a separate toilet room, two sinks with a massive mirror flanking which were toiletry storage cupboards. The shower was huge with a shelf and seat below the window. The bath, a corner Jacuzzi bath big enough for 2 adults, was near to the shower. But, the best thing about the bathroom was the fact that there are large wooden shutters that opened up and allowed you to look out over the fantastic views of the Atlantic, there is something very freeing about being able to shower with a sight like that.

Food

We stayed on a B&B basis (not sure if anything else is available but there are enough restaurants in Cape Town to keep you occupied for a long time) but it might has well have been full board! Sally greeted us on the first morning with an amazing fruit platter each. This contained melon, strawberry’s, apple, mango, yoghurts etc, then a plate of breads, muffins, cold meats and cheeses, there is also an endless supply of fruit juices, water, tea, coffee and cereals. By this point you are well and truly stuffed thinking you could not possibly eat any more, then Sally asks what you would like for a cooked breakfast! The whole process usually took an hour but the dinning area is between the 2 ground level suites and overlooks Camps Bay and the Atlantic so my wife and I could have stopped there a lot longer, generally when it came to tea time we were still not hungry after the breakfast we had eaten. One thing that must be noted is that the fruit platter differed every day and it became exciting to see what Sally could conjure up each day.

The House

Parking was a little tight on the drive and if the house is full someone will have to park on the road outside the house. Up stairs is the dinning area, then downstairs is a lounge area with a small ‘bar’, sofas, books and collection of DVD’s. There is also a laptop for internet use along with wireless internet access if you have your own. Outside is the infinity pool which is solar panel heated and a small garden area lovely for relaxing in, each room has its own sun lounger’s on each respective balcony area. The house has large windows throughout and as a result is very light and airy, it is a shame we were sight seeing because we could have just stayed in all day.

General

This accommodation is not to be missed, it is a little expensive but that is more than repaid by the service and standards applied. We had a fantastic time at Atlantic suites and would definitely return should we visit Cape Town again, a massive thank you to Sally, Ian, Hilda, Ellius and Socks for making our stay in Camps Bay an extremely memorable one.
