The hotel is located at the edge of Camps Bay (town), on high ground. It provides a clear view of the sea in the front, and mountains at the side and back. The Houghton steps (166 steps) lead us to a lower road, and more walking will eventually lead to the Camps Bay town centre, where the sandy beach is.
Hotel is clean and well kept. We were given a free upgrade from 1 family room to 2 separate bedrooms with breakfast. These 2 rooms have garden view, gave maximum privacy and very quiet. Even though our units did not face the sea, we caught beautiful views from the hotel premises. We got gorgeous views of the sunset from the hotel entrance, pool and dining area. Combined toilet/bath/shower is of good size.
Service: check in was fuss free and took less than 1 minute. We requested for help to carry luggage up a flight of steps and he appeared in a jiffy. Service is fast and efficient. Feedback gets acted upon quickly. Owners very earnest to do well, so make your requests known to them. We left one item behind, and they took pains to contact us to arrange for the item to be forward to our next hotel. It was a nice gesture.
Breakfast: buffet spread of cereals, juices, breads, jams, fruits, bakes, toasts, ham and cheeses. Eggs are cooked to our specification (boiled, poached, scrambled, omelet; with options for partially cooked or fully cooked), with bacon, mushroom, tomato.

Room Tip: If you are out most of the time, it is not absolutely necessary to get sea view rooms. The sea can...

Great location with fascinating panoramic views! The boutique hotel has big balconies to chill with a glass of wine! We had a nice room with ocean & mountain view and experienced inviting breakfasts with fresh food selection and friendly staff who prepared our meal from the 'daily specials'. 3 on Camps Bay feels home away from home and has a personal touch in every detail from friendly & helpful hosts George and Maria. Definitely the place to stay!

My Husband and i were there the weekend past, 15/16JUN and checked out the 17JUN, the place is absolutely gorgeous, the staff are friendly and Maria and George the owners are very friendly as well. They all make you feel welcome.

Lets not forget the stunning breakfast one has each morning when there, we cannot wait to go back for a weekend.

We took a girls trip and stayed at 3 on Camps Bay - we could not have picked a better place to stay! We had one very big, ocean view room and one smaller, single with a mountain view on the backside of the hotel. I stayed in the smaller room and found it cozy. The ocean view room was beautiful, but because there were three of us girls, we had good access to both views and the shared space in the hotel is very comfortable with its own incredible view.

This is one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had and the owners and staff are incredible! I would go back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: If you are considering it, pay the little extra for the ocean view rooms.

My partner and I recently stayed at 3 On Camps Bay, George and Maria are without doubt, two of the most genuine and helpful operators that I have ever come across. Our stay was absolutely first class due to the competent, helpful & friendly staff, excellent clean rooms & amenities and beautiful location. We will be returning to Cape Town(ex Sydney Australia) in the busier summer season with my parents and will be looking only one option for our accommodation - 3 On Camps Bay!

Room Tip: We chose a more affordable mountain view room. For a little more next time, we will chose a sea view...

Spectacular location with stunning views. Friendly and attentive service. Scrumptious breakfasts with only the freshest ingredients. Spacious rooms which are tastefully decorated. Personal little touches like Charlotte Rhys products in the rooms, which are my favourite. This guest house comes highly recommended for a fantastic stay.

Location is brilliant, a short walk to the beach and numerous restaurants. The views are spectacular from the deck and have a very good breakfast spread. The hosts especially Maria and staff (Freddie) were very nice and helpful. They went out of the way and offered us complementary wine and chocolates when briefly the toilet malfunctioned (but was fixed at the earliest). Highly recommended.
