Hubby and I just ate at Codfather this evening and what a delight. Stewart was our server and he was fabulous! Cudos to him! This is a unique and fun concept where Stewart escorted us to the "fish market" and explained all the choices on menu for the evening. We started with King Prawns and Crayfish which were delicious. For dinner we shared small bits (they allow you to choose whatever size bit of fish you would like) of Swordfish, King Klip, Butter Fish and Dorado (Mahi Mahi). The Prawns, Crayfish and Platter of Fish all arrived grilled to perfection along with a sampler of sauces (Lemon Butter, Garlic, Apricot and Spicy Peri Peri). We thought the fish was actually quite good with just a bit of lemon squeezed on top, but the sauces were fun to try. The side dishes of Rice and Vegetables were tasty - particularly the Rice. All in all, a lovely dinner at a unique restaurant and with fantastic service by Stewart. FYI - our dinner with 1 glass of wine and all the seafood and gratuity came to $90 USD. Bon Appetit!

Our hotel staff raved about this place. Cute interior. Seafood is displayed at the front of the restaurant. Guests line up to select their dinner without much of an idea of price. Waiters seem to all suggest cooking all fish in one dish. But this takes away from the specific richness of each fish. We tried scallops, calamari, barracuda, moonfish, butterfish, and South African lobster. The lobster was our best take away - but it was also prepared separately. The sushi bar is served on a rotating counter. The sashimi we ate was gold. Hands down best sushi we have ever had. Perhaps we are just too particular with our seafood selections to have enjoyed this place to its potential.

This restaurant is in the charming seaside neighborhood of Camp's Bay. It was recommended by our hotel manager, and we were so pleased that we followed her advice. It is like going to a fish market; you select the type(s) and quantity of fish and side dishes. The fish was very fresh, and perfectly cooked. They bring a variety of sauces to add additional flavor to your fish. Recommend booking as this is a popular spot

As we were a large group of 8, we could only get an early evening booking but were made so welcome by the staff. You are then shown the wet fish area to pick your fish and seafood, which is priced by weight so be careful not to over order. I had Kingclip, Mahi Mahi and a huge crawfish which were superb. Also had a starter of sushi from the conveyor belt sushi bar which was yummy. Make sure you do book in advance.

Excellent service, excellent sushi, excellent fush with one exception - one fish was so dry and a desaster - waiter saw the fish and said sorry, took the fish from the bill, took this fish totally from the offer - great reaction - mistakes can happen and we appreciate the reaction and service! Well done!
