We came for lunch and had the sushi train. DIVINE!! Fresh, delicious, perfection! Service was great. Food was great. Prices are on the expensive side but who cares if its fresh and delicious!

I had heard a lot about this longstanding Camps Bay restaurant and was really looking forward to it. However, it is in need of refurbishment and looks more like a cafe/diner from the 80s. There is no view of the sea which is surely a crime being in Camps Bay! The chefs at the fish counter were uninterested and not enthusiastic about the products available. The calamari starter was good, not great, but the best thing I ate all night. The king prawns were mushy, the halibut and swordfish over-cooked, and the butterfish was a let-down. Unimaginative side dishes of oily vegetables and french fries was disappointing in a country rich with fresh produce. Overpriced, overhyped, underperforming, and underwhelming. Will not be going back. Don't waste your time or money.

If you are looking for a quiet and friendly place for fresh fish, here you go. It is perfect for discover and test a large variety of catch of the day at a very reasonable price with a good selection of local wines and it is in Camps Bay so you have the best of both world at once.

We had a late lunch in Codfather on our last day in South Africa, it is a different approach to eating seafood- selecting the fish and paying by weight, and we enjoyed it. The restaurant was very quiet when we were there and the service was extremely helpful and friendly. Camp's Bay is also worth a visit.

Apart from the terrible name and touristy location this is a absolute treasure. Our waiter, Ben was so polite, funny and gave great recommendations. We had the squid to start which was fresh and delicious. To follow, the sushi, which was well prepared and a great variety platter. To accompany it we had the freshest oysters, just have one or two they're like nothing you have ever tasted. To finish the Dom Pedro clears the pallet and the malve pudding is for the sweeter of teeth but to die for. A absolute must. 5*
