The location of the Bay Atlantic was ideal, and the views of Camps Bay even better. Loved the outdoor sun deck, pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast on the terrace was also extremely enjoyable and relaxing, which was topped off by the very friendly and helpful staff. I'd recommend this place in a flash - and would certainly go back.

Thanks to the Bay Atlantic,
Jane and Michael

Stayed here for a few nights as part of our honeymoon. The views are lovely, nice pool area and handy honesty bar! Breakfasts are terrific (you have to try Beach's omelettes) and all the guys running the place bend over backwards to make your stay a happy one - including fantastic local advice on restaurants and places to visit.

I have been staying at the The Bay Atlantic for over 10 years and can honestly say the place just gets better and better. From the moment you step foot in the door you feel part of the house. The service is excellent, the views are stunning, the breakfasts legendary and to cap it off, you can have a beer in the jacuzzi as you watch the sunset! It is, and will continue to be my first port of call when visiting 'The Cape'.

Room Tip: Choose The Atlantic and Bay Rooms for views and The Mountain Room for value!

Top Quality guest house-we had the Penthouse. The quality throughout the house was of the highest 0rder- superb linen and furnishings. If it had a fault the splendid staff were almost too friendly on arrival, after the 12 hour flight we seemed to be thrust in our haze into to learning 10 names . The views, particularly from Penthouse ,were magnificent.Breakfast fine-we would happily stay there again.
One word of warning for those with walking problems-the hill and wind are a real problem returning from eating at the fine restaurants in town.

Room Tip: Penthouse much the best but also the most expensive.

We are always most pleased when guests refer to us as a top quality guest house because that is what we strive to be !! Our Penthouse suite obviously contributed towards making your stay a memorable one ( the 360 degree views alone are absolutely breathtaking ) and are definitely one of the factors that brings guests back year after year, many of whom stay for protracted periods. The linens we purchase for usage in the guesthouse are both 100% pure cotton and allergy free because ultimately, they will play a huge factor in terms of your overall comfort levels - after all a good nights sleep makes your day time travels that much more fun ! In terms of staffing yes we do try to ensure that all staff names are made mention of when guests are checking in, this in turn affords you, the guest, opportunity to ask any questions that you may have without feeling uncomfortable at not knowing same. It also serves to familiarize our staff complement with you a guest in our home. I agree that the incline back to the house can be a tad difficult following a relaxed dinner in conjunction with an excellent wine. As you are aware we offer transport for both the 150 meter stroll down and also back to The Bay Atlantic at the end of your evening for guests, who like yourself, have mobility problems. Just an element of the overall levels of service which, as previously reiterated we strive to maintain. I trust that the rest of your extended trip to Africa was enjoyable. Thank you for the frank review it really is most appreciated by everybody concerned, Until we meet again take care.

Warm Regards
The Bay Atlantic Family

The Bay Atlantic has stunning views of the beach and mountains. It's also only a 5 minute walk from the beach and main strip of bars and restaurants, a great location. We loved the salt water pool. The breakfast was really lovely with fruit and yogurt followed by tasty seeded toast and a cooked breakfast of your choice. The staff were also really nice. The only thing I would say is the decor was a little dated and felt a bit dark inside with all the panelled wood, it could do with a re vamp, but the breakfast balcony was nice. We stayed in the mountain room which was rather small and basic, but fine if you don't want to spend much time in your room. We were out and about most of the time so it didn't bother us. Overall a pleasant stay.

You are quite correct in your comments concerning decor which is going to be addressed in our winter months in order to minimize inconvenience to guests. Much of the wood paneling that you make reference to is going to be removed as it does tend to make our hallways and passages somewhat dark at times, particularly when we have cloud cover from the mountains that we are fortunate enough to have as a backdrop to the property. We are also going to make changes to the decor including the replacement of art works. Yes our breakfast terrace does provide guests with beautiful views out to the ocean ahead and to The Twelve Apostles on your left when seated. Hence it often being referred to by previous guests. In terms of your room choice The Mountain Room is not referred to as ' The Matchbox ' without reason. Our descriptors both on The website and via Booking.Com etc state this quite clearly but also make reference to the fact that it is ideal for budget conscious travelers wanting to be based in Camps Bay. A fact that many travelers have attested to in prior correspondence within this forum. We are very glad that your overall stay was a pleasant one as we enjoyed having you at The Bay Atlantic and hope to see you soon when you can view the aforementioned changes and once again give us your opinion in respect of same. Until then:
Warm Regards

We stayed here for 5 nights in February and had a great time.

We really thought the location couldn't have been better, such a short walk to the beach and bars/restaurants, but still quiet and off the main road. The pool was great and we spent a couple of hours there each day - I especially loved the jacuzzi at the pool - great for wimps who don't want to jump straight into the unheated pool!

We were in the Bay room which had a lovely balcony and great view. The room wasn't huge, but had everything we needed in it. The only tiny annoyance was the noise the fridge made intermittently through the night which woke me up a bit. Saying that, we never raised it with the owners and had we done that, they may have been able to do something about it.

From the moment we arrived and were treated to a complimentary large glass of great chenin blanc, to the moment we left, the team were really great at looking after us. They were there with suggestions of things to do or places to eat, but weren't at all pushy if you had your own plans. Kelly was really helpful in booking us a great table at a restaurant one night (Belthazar at the V&A Waterfront).

The guest house has 5 parking spaces as well, so we were able to park our hired car easily each day. Having the car made it very easy to get around, we'd recommend it if you're going to be there a few days.

Staying for five nights gives you adequate time to see many of the attractions that Cape Town has to offer and we are always pleased to hear that guests have made the most of their time spent with us doing so ! Our location is often commented on within this forum due to its proximity to the beachfront and some of the finest restaurants that Cape Town has to offer whilst remaining quiet and private ensuring guest comfort. The Jacuzzi is used daily by young and old alike often prior to a leisurely swim in what has to be one of the most generously sized swimming pools in Camps Bay. Our Bay room has wonderful views across the Pool Deck and out to the ocean whilst remaining secluded for your evening ' Sundowners ' The fridge we quite literally changed on Friday of this week ( 2nd of March 2012 ) as it had also been commented commented on by guests in the days preceding your stay. The ' new ' fridge is single compressor and as such the noise levels are significantly ' decreased ' The previous fridge had dual compressors hence the noise factor ) We take cognisance of all guest comments asap and despite your not having addressed the matter that is not an excuse for us to resolve the matter as and when it has been raised.

Parking of cars is often a concern for guests however having multiple parking bays ensures safe storage of either rental or personal vehicles.

We are hoping to see you as guest in our home for future visits and once again thank you for your valued comments.

Kind Regards
From The Bay Atlantic Family.

We stayed here our first night in Cape Town. It was a wonderful to be greeted with a glass of wine and amazing views on the beach after a long international flight. As we were just a few blocks from the beach, we could easily walk to dinner and not have to worry about finding parking. Our room was clean and comfortable and the views from our balcony were fabulous. After staying in several different places around the region, I could definitely say we found this to be the best value. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful owners!

Providing guests with a glass of chilled wine or a cold beer on arrival is just one of the ways we say ' Welcome to our home and thank you for choosing to stay with us ' Views of Camps Bay Beach are available from many vantage points within the property as are The Twelve Apostles mountain Range. Our visitors often comment on the proximity of Table Mountain, Lions Head and The Waterfront all of which are easily accessible from Berkley Road. Walking to dinner means that you are able to enjoy a leisurely meal accompanied by fine wines without having to worry about driving ' home ' at the end of the night. We fully agree that cleanliness and comfort should be a 'priority wherever you choose to stay in the world and are certainly something that is addressed daily here at The Bay Atlantic. We are proud of our housekeeping staff many of whom have been here for 14 yrs or more ie: since the opening Day in 1997!!.

Once again thank you for your valued input. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Until then take care.

Kind Regards
The Bay Atlantic Family.
