Having seen it ranked as one of the best in Camp's Bay we were desperately trying to get a table booked over the busy Christmas week. When we finally got in for a lunch we were left waiting at the bar for 30 minutes, at our table for another 20 and finally had to walk up to pick up our drinks orders from the bar after waiters continued to ignore us. The theme continued for the rest of the afternoon with missed orders, requests made multiple times, a continual changing of waiters tending our table and it seemed most of the people around us were having the same experience. The food was fine, the service and experience from sullen staff was terrible. For what you're paying, it's a huge let down.

Good Day,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent experience.

We were very disappointed to read you feedback and would like to assure you that it is not the norm at Paranga Restaurant. We have had a very busy season, but is no excuse for the lack of service received upon your visit.

We would really appreciate an opportunity to make it up to you if at all possible and if you are still in Cape Town. You can contact me directly on monique@kovecollection.co.za.

Kind Regards,

We had dinner at Paranga during our December holidays. The menu is quite extensive and the wine list impressive. The quality of the food and the efficient service was superb. We were lucky to get a front row table and the setting sun was a beautiful treat. We will definitely be back.

We ate here on Christmas Day and had a delicious dinner. The quality of the seafood was excellent and we all were delighted with our choices. My only mild quibble is that having ordered a one person combo platter which was marked SQ ie no price marked on the menu but It would be priced at Market Rate, it seemed significantly more expensive than the other dishes. That said it was a lot of fish so my advice is ask what price the SQ options are ! In summary, lovely dinner and very nice atmosphere with friendly wait staff .

We went to Paranga twice and both times the food was outstanding. It is quite expensive but not much more than other restaurants on Camps Bay and better than most. The seafood platter seemed slightly overpriced for what you get but the sole was delicious (I had it twice)
