Every time I visit Lemoenfontein which is often, every six weeks, plus minus, I receive nothing but excellent service, from the food, right through to the rooms, which I love, simple yet full of character, with an element of class, and lastly functional, Kobus, and Ingrid could not have picked a better position, the large dinning room, over looking down the great vast expanses through to BFW, is breathtaking, I wish them all the best, and hope that they will be around for years to come.

Nice to stay, impressed with cleanliness, and also with available wines on wine list, although price of wine perhaps a little bit steep; still good to see such interesting wines on a wine list at a guest house quite a distance away from the winelands!!!

This was our 11th stay in a row on our way to the Argus Cycle tour in Cape Town. It was a wonderful experience from reception, to the dinner, to the rooms and breakfast.

All staff are friendly and extremely helpful.

The venue has old world charm and hospitality.

The bedroom was very nice the bathroom ok,the pool lovely, the garden immaculate and the food was satisfactory but oh the birds flying around the dining room whilst you were eating your meal was NOT for me.

The alternative was to eat outside on the veranda where you could take in the stunning views, but, you had better be very careful if you don't want bird lime on your clothes. The outside seat cushions are covered in bird droppings and these birds Are not adverse to trying to get the sugar before it reaches your tea or coffee. Hygienic! Well not in my eyes.

We wouldn't stay here again.

Thank you for your comments - we are very aware of our wild bird problem and have had advice from many, including, as a last resort, from a pest control company. We wish to stress that we are a wildlife reserve where nature is on our doorstep and although it comes with many irritations it has a beauty and tranquillity which is so often not found within many people’s daily lives. The destruction of these feathered friends is not a step we wish to take. We continue to seek an eco and animal friendly way of controlling our problem, whilst we continuously endeavouring to manage our housekeeping effects.
It is but a week ago that a documentary was aired about the loss of birdlife in the United Kingdom due to people’s interference of their natural habitat – we would like to avoid this!

We stayed three nights at Lemoenfontein Game Lodge, as we wanted to visit the Karoo National Park. It is a very relaxed place, no noise except of birds. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
We also did a nice game drive on the private estate of Lemoenfontein. We saw various animals, but don't expect the same as in Addo or the big five.
Our room was a little bit dark, but was no problem as we were all the time outside. Bathroom big with shower and bath. The two wing-chairs in front of the chimney a little bit shabby but maybe 'part of the style' .....
Breakfast was nice, dinner very 'Karoo-style home-cooking'.
Quite a lot of people use this lodge as a stop-over between Johannesburgh and Cape Town
Only negative point: no help offered with luggage.

Room Tip: I realized that there are different rooms. Some will have an entree to the garden, some an entree to...

Stayed over one-night for a business trip. Enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere, the home-cooked meal on the large veranda and the lovely sunset. The room was comfortable with a bath and a shower. There is a large pool to cool off in. The resident parrot provided plenty of entertainment.

Had the real pleasure of staying just one night after a couple of days on the road. What a super, tranquil relaxing place with really warm and friendly hosts, a great braai and a delicious breakfast. Saw lots of book, zebra and birds as well as an added bonus! The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and there are both more rooms and they are bigger than it appears when you arrive. Try it!
