“Honeymoon Bliss in Cape Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2011

Had a wonderful Honeymoon stay in this beautiful Hotel. Amazing ocean views at breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. They recommended places to eat each night we were there and we were not dissappointed! Rooms were lovely but a little on the small side but beautifully decorated and clean. Also centrally located. Rose petals and both salts in our bath every evening when we returned. The staff also provided us with complimentary canapes every evening in our room.Would stay here again. Excellent

A perfect start to our South African odyssey. O on Kloof is tucked away in Bantry Bay and yielded a delightfully personal and personable, chic and relaxing three night stay. The decor is stylishly modern but doesn't sacrifice comfort in it's desire to be contemporary. All the staff were tuned in to what the guest needed in the moment, even down to re-organising the hire car company which had managed to send our car to the wrong hotel. Very good indeed.

What a fantastic place to stay and i don't mean for the hotel itself, but the whole package. The staff, service and welcome was truely amazing and I would definately venture back there.

Room Tip: good spa facilities

What a great place! The hotel is very well done - chic design with wonderful attention to detail. Olaf and staff made our stay perfect! Everyone was extremely friendly, attentive and willing to help with anything we needed. The spa treatments were fantastic and it was a terrific ending to an amazing trip. If we're back in Cape Town, we'll be staying here again!!

I review hotels for a living and have had the great fortune to visit quite a few boutique hotels in my time but I have to say thet the O on Kloof is really special.

It manages to feel homely yet glamorous, tranquil yet buzzy all at the same time. The staff are wonderful. They are friendly but unobtrusive and exceptionally helpful. Bernadette was brimming with great advice when we arrived and Patricia was fabulous on the first morning helping out with car rental etc.

We were lucky enough to book one of the suites (room 1 and 5) with a private deck and balcony. I highly recommend this. Room 5 is the best in the house with the largest deck and a huge room but 1 was great too. The early evening canapes on the deck and champagne in the hot tub was really special.

I highly recommend a treatment in the spa. The lady there is lovely and very good.

If I had to pick one thing that was less than perfect I would say that the location was great but not outstanding. The sea views are fairly distant. If this hotel was closer to the beach, it would be heaven. However. my only real regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. I would have no hesitation in recommended the O to anyone and would advise them to stay as along as they can. If you are visiting Cape Twn, don't book anywhere else. You won't regret it.

A lovely boutique hotel in a lovely part of Cape Town. Room was nice (although a little noisy in the morning - and having arrived on a delayed late-night flight from Joburg I wanted to get some good sleep).

Breakfast was just excellent (omelet, fresh fruits, pastries and juicies on the terrace with a great view). Very helpful staff (a Polish girl who is the manager knows a lot about the surroundings and was extremely helpful in planning day trips from Cape Town (Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Cape Point etc).

The hotel is very expensive, although other hotels in Cape Town are not cheap either.

This was our first visit to Cape Town and this was our first port of call and they certainly set a standard for the others to follow. The beautiful breezy public rooms and the fantastic service from all of the staff all of the time made our three nights in this city highly memorable as a heat wave enveloped the city. The breakfasts are impeccable both in execution and presentation and the staff were very adept at recommending and securing tables in the best local restaurants . All in all a classy polished act from beginning to end.
