My stay at the Cascades Hotel, Sun City was a very enjoyable experience. The staff could not do enough to assist. The room was wonderful. The only problem was that there was a lift not working and staying on one of the higher floors one had to wait longer for the lift.

We have just returned from an Amazing Holiday in South Africa, whilst we were there we stayed at The Cascade Hotel for 3 days, It was a Lovely Hotel,We got a Nice Welcome on arrival and also wine and snacks were waiting. We had a quick check in and the porters took our cases up to the room for us. Room was Lovely, even a chocolate left for us on the pillows. The rooms were even cleaned again in the evening, they closed the curtains for you, turned back the quilt and even had your dressing gowns and slippers ready for you. The breakfasts were lovely, such a good choice of diffrent foods, always served hot,was like 5*star. Would definitely return to this Hotel, we are hoping to go back to South Africa in September so we will certainley have another couple of days at The Cascade Hotel when we are travelling around. Would definitely recommend this Hotel

I've been to sun city before but stayed at the timeshare accommodation. My stay at the Cascades for a conference was great. We were a group of about 500 and I'm sure the staff tired of us after a while, but they were always efficient and helpful.

Check in was smooth, even for such a big group and I was in my room within 5 minutes of setting foot in reception. The porter was not far behind with my bags. The room is typical, but it's definitely big enough for 2 adults. The king size bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. The bathroom is big enough for one person at a time, like most hotels. Separate bath and shower and all was clean. Some mouldy spots, but I'm a bit OCD.

The room also had a mini sitting area and a mini bar. Prices were ridiculous, but the entire resort is pricey. All rooms look out on the beautiful gardens. The tv was older but I wasn't much in the room. The area where the hairdryer is located is not comfortable to do hair. Luckily I was alone so could use all the space.

Loved the turn down service and the fact that the room got tidied in the evening while you are out. Its great to come back to a tidied room. The room card keys got easily deactivated when close to cell phones so keep them well away.
Breakfast was awesome, continental and full English, but getting a waiters attention for coffee etc was difficult on both days and the dining area was by no means full. The selection was good, and the cook making eggs was friendly.

This hotel is the best location if you wanna walk everywhere and not have to catch shuttles in the resort. You are on the doorstep of the main casino and entertainment area, but even so there was no noise pollution from this area. The palace is great but isolated, unless that's what you are looking for.

I love sun city, but the service in the entire resort is tardy. Get used to it, especially in summer! You still always leave feeling better than when you arrived!!!

We went to Sun City for a show and decided we would make a week-end of it. We chose to stay at the Cascades Hotel. The reception we received was welcoming and the checking-in was quick and efficient, there were also welcoming drinks and snacks available. The room was comfortable and everything in working order. It is a short walk to the main entertainment centre. We had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant and the breakfast is really 5 star. The service and variety of food in the restaurant was very good.

Suncity Cascades was a bad choice... We were 11 people in the group and occupied 4 rooms.
2 out of 4 heaters in the rooms were not working, inspite of making several calls they were not able to fix them for us and neither did they give us a change of room.Everytime we called to complaint they would us on to the next person, and the drama continued.

We also found a lot of discrimination in services and the staff were very unfriendly with an uptight attitude. One example i can site is when we asked for a bottle of water at the room service they said that the staff are busy and will deliver the bottle only when they are come to your floor.

Will not recommend this hotel at all....HATE IT .We expected `sun city to be the highlight of our trip but were majorly disappointed after staying at Cascades.

the hotel was good , a five star property as per our tour manager , however we found the rooms and the hallway carpeted and seemed to be in need of an overall required.

the rooms were quite nice , the mattresses however did not offer the best sleep as they seemed to caving in at particular places due to excess use and are best replaced.

the bar on the 3rd level ( lobby ) was good and we enjoyed our coffee in the cold at night around a warm fireplace stand.

the restaurant was good with leveled seating making it easier to move around and spot your group , also the chef's were talkative and tried their best to understand how we liked our eggs and served us a great breakfast.

the game zone for kids at suncity and the casino is just off the street so it is the best place to stay with family in suncity , also nearby in the food court u have an indian restaurant , which even offers jain food.

We stayed at The Palace at Sun City a few years ago and the room did not meet my expectations. On our second visit to Sun City to attend the Michael Buble concert we decided to stay at Cascades. I asked for a room on floor 7 or above and was pleasantly surpised when we were given a room on floor 11 with a lovely view. A pianist was playing in the lobby on arrival and a selection of snacks were available. We took a walk in the beautiful gardens and visited the aviary. While drinking a cappucino a meerkat family joined us on the lawn next to the swimming pool and it was delightful watching them.

We dined at Santorini and my fish was fresh and beautifully prepared.

The next morning we went for a 5km walk around the Gary Player Golf Course. We saw many birds and really enjoyed our walk.

Breakfast was very good and we had a good time at the Valley of Waves. If you expect an 'artificial beach' and go with an open mind you will enjoy yourself. Take a walk to the waterfalls if you enjoy nature.

Cascades delivered and as such I would recommend staying in this hotel if you have to visit Sun City.

Room Tip: Choose a room on floor 7 or above for great views over the pool and golf course.
