So close to Jo'burg, pretty much guaranteed to see elephant and rhino. It is a bit of a highway though, but easy to self drive etc.

we went on the 530am game drive, the game warden was very friendly and imformative. first saw a family of hippos swimming in the lake after about 20 minues we had a call to say a family of lions had been spotted off road what a fantastic sight.. Also in the distance was a white Rhino with her calf so lovely to see as they are being poached left right and centre.more must be done to stop this barbaric trade ..We saw 4 of the big five so was very pleased ,a lovely time can't wait to go back.

We were there on a hot day, saw lots of hyenas, especially around the kiosk area. Didn't see any lions but had a frightening but memorable showdown with a massive but very smelly elephant over who had right of way on the road!
Some HUGE Hippo's there, there is a lake right at the back right hand side where they hang out, they are massive, I thought they were huge boulders at first....and stay in your car!

We visited this park with some friends that had not been to a game park before. In three drives we have seen a group of elephants, plenty rhinos, playful hippos, sleepy Lions, Ostrich, Eland, Tsessebe and plenty of the usual bokkies, zebras and Wildebeest.
All in all a great park with a good chance to see most of the great animals. There are plenty of hides at the lakes and dams.

This park is conveniently situated close to Johannesburg and Pretoria, but it is a bit small and you sometimes drive through the entire park without seeing much game
