You feel welcome if you arrive and sad when you leave. Excellent service, and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you mr Forsyth for preserving Boekenhoutsfontein with all the history of Oom Paul Kruger, it is FANTASTIC ...

I was incredibly impressed with Kedar, the staff, facilities, rooms and food were great, as well as being incredibly affordable. Being surrounded by war memorabilia was quite interesting too! The peaceful surroundings and great facilities made our stay really good and even though the weather was bleak during our stay the friendliness of staff and service we received was second to none. Kedar is an authentic getaway and I would definitely go back!

We booked one night on our way back to johannesburg from Pilansberg and Botswana. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The history that is collected and used to decorate the hotel is very imprressive if you like that king of thing. It is really value for money, I would recomend the hotel for more than one night stay to enjoy every thing. If you have enough time to visit the Spa please do so you will not regret it. There is not much to do at the hotel it self but it is about +-25 kilometres away from Suncity if you need some entertainment. You can save on paying high accomodation fee at Suncity and used the money for sightseeing. Their game drive only include antelopes, i don't thing it will be worth it it if you like wild life i would recommend that you go to Pilansberg national Park to see more animals

Room Tip: I liked the room number 200 which was close to the pool and the bar

A group of 11 bird watchers spent a fantastic weekend at Kedar. We were immensely impressed with the service. David took such great care of our elderly couple, and truly went the extra mile. From porter, housekeeping, restaurant, reception, gardeners to general manager, Glynis, everyone impressed us.
We had a relaxed Birding Big Day, counted 108 species in about 4 hours. Enjoyed the walks, the lovely board walk to the hippo pools. Perfect spot for our sundowners, whilst enjoying the Pygmy Hippo and all the birds enjoying.
Sunday morning we left the grounds at 05:30, with our packed breakfast, in search of the area's special birds - the Yellow-throated Sandgrous. Stuart Groom our guide is brilliant at finding these birds. Had really great sightings of 1, then 5 birds. What a treat.
Thank you for always welcoming the members of the Wits Bird Club, for being a Birdlife Sa birder friendly establishment, for your gorgeous indigenous gardens and for a most enjoyable and rewarding weekend. We'll be back

My wife and I decided to spend a few days away from the City. We had been to Kedar hotel situated near Sun City previously and had always enjoyed the tranquility and excellent accommodation. However, on this last occasion we were really taken back by the improvements to the hotel and the shear luxury one was exposed to. The accommodation we had taken was the royal suite and in our experience one could not have asked for more luxurious accommodation, The suite included a bedroom on suite ,a fully stocked bar , a dinning room ,lounge and a swimming pool,Both lounge and bedroom had the latest TV with dish.We were warmly greeted by the manager and provided with platters of snacks and fruit and a bottle of champagne in our suite, The surrounds were spectacular and contained many items of interest and had two themes one of Paul Kruger and the other of Cecil John Rhodes. Highly interesting relics of that era were displayed in the bar and dinning room. The staff were exceptionally friendly and provided excellent service,Food served in both the bar and the dinning room was of exceptional quality. Game could be sited from most vantage points and a four wheel drive provided guests with highly interesting game drives, Paul Kruger's farm residence which was on the site had been converted into a museum which contained many items of interest. Whether one was visiting the hotel for relaxation, conferencing or whatever the facilities were all excellent, although we did not make use of a fully equipped Spa on site we understood from other guests that this facility was great. The hotel contained all the usual facilities such as a large swimming pool conveniently situated A highly recommended and not to be missed venue.

Room Tip: From what I experienced all rooms were if a good high quality,
