Self Catering accommodation in South Africa is in high demand. We are great lovers of Nature and found this place as a last resort for weekend accommodation. Travelling from Potchefstroom we found it to be a comfortable ride and good road conditions. We were pleasantly surprised by what awaited us. From the first telephone call up to our arrival we could not ask for a couple more helpful.
The accommodation (they have various options) was comfortable, the en suite rooms beautifully furnished and clean. We stayed at the Rooms.(4) The Kitchen area is located on the side of the Rooms with a Boma area. The utensils, fridge, gas stove and Microwave are of good quality and should you need anything else, it will be on hand. Here you can relax looking into the Bush and listening to the sounds. Birds were very active
There is also a swimming pool could have been a bit bigger, but then if you just want to cool off it is perfect. The Teenagers were a bit bored when we first arrived, but as soon as they noticed the cement farm dam, we did not see them for hours. They loved it.
We went on a hiking Trail (3 Types). As our time was so limited (we stayed 2 nights)we opted for the shortest Trail. It was an easy walk, giving us enough time to enjoy the open spaces and tranquillity. The Bush and animal sounds were all around. You can also go on a Game drive.
This is a beautiful Farm and will recommend it highly, should you want to go on a nature break. I also recommend you go as a family or a group. They also do Catering. It is close to Sun City (62 km) and ideal for a day visit. A relaxing fun weekend.
Thank you Peet and Laetitia for making this so special.
