I booked this resort because of its proximity to Johannesburg, we did not want to drive so far. When we arrived I was so thrilled to see the amazing accommodation offered to us. We had a magnificent chalet which had three lovely bedrooms, important to me is always the linen, this was all white which is exactly what I like, I guess I am particular about bedding when traveling. The chalet had a very updated granite kitchen well fitted out, with a dishwasher and a large oven. On our patio which faced directly onto the game park , one could sit for hours watching the animals, lots of Zebra and antelope.
We also had our own pool on the verandah which was a lovely touch.
The service at this game park is exceptional. House keeping do a wonderful job.
Do go to the breakfast room even if it is for coffee as the view from there of the animals is really wonderful.
I would like to compliment the resort on excellent service all around and especially on their amazing security. I one night walking back to my room got lost, and seemed to be walking around in circles. A very observant guard and his assistant came up to me and asked me if I was lost as they had seen me walking round and round, I gave them my room number and they escorted me courteously to my room I believe their names were Paul and perhaps his assistant might of been Dan, hope I have remembered correctly.
We did go to the town to the Spa grocery store and bought some juices and food to have in the room. To people reading this who are not South African if you do go the grocery store, buy Boerewors a South African delicacy , unique flavors to South Africa, really delicious.
We did have a barbecue on our verandah, or a braai as South Africans say and did cook our boerewors on the barbecue.
Maintainance of the unit as everything else was excellent/
I loved the scones they served in the main restaurant.
The game hunts were fabulous and we did see 4 of the big 5, including a leopard.
Loved Kwamaritane, and look forward to returning. Also want to mention very efficient and wonderful Jenny in the reservation department. Thanks to all the great staff.
Check in was excellent, always friendly staff at the front desk. Wi fi was only available if you went near reception or the bar.
