Arrived at hotel on very hot 35 deg C and the cool lobby was very welcoming - smooth check in and clean comfortable rooms. As this hotel is situated virtually on the edge of the Big Hole the semi-industrial minimalist architecture blended in very well with mining infrastructure in the adjoining historical village to which there is direct access from the hotel parking lot.
The pool is a delight as it is modelled on a typical farm dam, complete with windpump which are found in the area - nice touch!
Public rooms are decorated in colonial style with lots of informative historical photographs of the old Kimberley diamond mining era.
Excellent service and really good breakfast (with two kinds of bacon!)
Highly recommended - and don't forget to visit one of the pubs in the historical village.More
