We stayed in Yellowwood Cottage which we would return to in a heartbeat. Beautifully decorated with candles, flowers, vibrant fabrics and unique pieces of African Art. There was tea, coffee and homemade biscotti in the kitchen as well as some milk and butter. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a webber on the pation for braai's.
There is a CD player, with some music provided but we also took some of our own which seemed to sound even better in this tranquil haven. The lounge has a log-fire with wood provided and a deep couch to cuddle up under blankets provided and read a book in the well stocked bookshelf.
The covered verhanda looks out over a lovely garden and has a great view of the trees and birds. We enjoyed the swing couch where we listened to the spotted-eagle owls calling and chatted over a glass of wine while the fire crackled in the clay fire-pot.
The Bedroom and bathroom are beautifully decorated and the antique slipper-bath great for a hot soak. The outdoor shower added to the nature experience. There are two single beds adjoining the main bedroom separated by curtains so not really suitable for two couples, only really for close family or friends.
There is no TV in the cottage, with trails mapped out for walking, running and mountain-biking, sport can be enjoyed first-hand rather than vicariously. Really central for a few golf courses and the Kruger Park. Casterbride and Bagdad Centres just before White River have great shops and restaurants for those who prefer sport of a different kind. Great handmade pottery and crafts.
