“A VERY pleasant stay!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

Due to a very busy weekend (Easter) we stayed in two rooms. Both were very comfortable with all creature comforts. The apartments were very clean and spacious. Aircon brought relief in 30 deg C tempratures. Rest of the Lodge was also very acceptable, nice bar area with amazing view and although we did not make use of the resturant, it looked attractive and appealing. The pool area was neat and well looked after. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We will be returning!

Seasands Hotel is sited in the middle of what can be called a plant lovers paradise. The hotel is built within dense shrubbery and trees that makes you feel right down deep in the jungle you see in the old films, really atmospheric.
The main building houses a lovely restaurant and above a most relaxing lounge area with bar. Both look out over the lush, green surrounds and enjoy the benefit of a veranda and balcony from which you can just see the Indian ocean.
Rooms are tucked away in the lush garden area which gives a great deal of privacy. The rooms are very clean and well furnished with a very comfortable bed, plenty of storage space for clothes etc, tv and a well fitted self catering kitchen if needed. The bathroom had a full size bath and a very efficient separate shower.
Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfasts were good, both continental and cooked. The situation of he hotel was in a very nice area and I felt very safe, so much so I went for a walk to the beach and surrounding area. Heard a Hippo behind the hedge and saw monkeys whilst walking.
The only thing that is a little off-putting is that due to the proximity off all the beautiful plant life the outside of the buildings does tend to look a little worn. Don't be deceived it is a great place to stay and St Lucia itself is good fun to wander around.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff in an outdated establishment which needs serious refurbishing. My wife rather didn't use the garderobes due to their smell. All in all it's a fair 3*, but seemed a bad price-value balance for a 4*.

We were in a very big appartment, much too big for the two of us. Unfortunately there wasn't something smaller available, so I guess we payed for 4 or more.... Almost 6.000 Rand for 3 nights is way overpriced. The room was very humid, worn down, smelly, leaking bathroom and thus wet socks/feet in the sleeping room. The smell was pretty bad and it just wasn't clean. If you want to eat in the restaurant you have to order before 4,30 pm, I mean who knows at that time what to eat in the evening. Anyway, dinner was pretty bad and the food (sole) was not fresh at all. I guess they had to defrost it.....very strange for a place which is situated in one SA's most popular fishing area's. When we tried to order a glass of champaign to celebrate New Years eve (everything else was closed), we were told that wasn't possible, we had to order a whole bottle.....
All together we didn't think much of St. Lucia, is a litle bit over rated we think.... there isn't much to do and not a lot of animals in the wetland parc, we think Hluluwe (spelling) NP is a better place to visit.

The room we have was nice and clean, but the toilet flush was broken after the third use...that of course happened during the night and at that time no one was there to help us...and it was raisonable, we thought, because was late in the night. The morning after we asked to set the flush and they did it....and wealso aked to have a boxing brezckfast because we needed to live very early the morning after. The results was that late in the afternoon we asked three times to have this damn take away breakfast...but it was not ready....and finally at 6:30....nobody was her anymore...we were completely abandoned in this hotel...thee is no guardian, nothing...and our lodge was almost close to the road, easily reachable by anyone.....no surveillance.....we were wondering if something would have been happened there....?! We don't raccomend this hotel...considering that we payed 75 euros per night....

The room was spacious but the furniture was too old. The tap in the bathroom was broken. there were no soap, no shampoo. I couldn't sleep half of the night coz of bats chirping on the roof although we had a special equipment in the room to scare them away. It was a good idea to try this hotel for one day and try another one. Because this one was the worst we've been in St.Lucia.

Seasands is located ideally, close to nature and the small city with staff so friendly and ready to help. Delicious meals served on a terrace overlooking a tropical forest. Enchanting!

Too bad the place is a bit run down. Would definitely need renovations.
