I have chosen this place for the position and the cheap rate, but after staying there for two nights I would find some other reasons to confirm the choice. McKenzie St. is the main street in St. Lucia, so you are near to everything; supermarket, fuel station, restaurants, craft market, and so on. Unless you come here in the high season (south african school vacations), you can get a big flat for a little sum of money. A well equipped kitchen, a large area for relaxing and dining, two bedrooms and the bathroom on the second floor, and in addition the terrace in front of the pool, with the inevitable brai. So many options to prepare something to eat are a good thing, in a city that goes to sleep very soon. If you go out after 9 PM, it's more probable to find an hippo looking for something to crunch than an open restaurant. But this is part of the fascination of St. Lucia: when you see dozens of monkeys around your flat, or crossing the road between a car and an other, in addition to the packs of hippos and crocodiles that live in the surroundings, you know that this is not a common place.
