It was out of this world experience, thanks to the Chef for her lovely food and personality. The place is so nice................9km away from the main road. Rooms were also clean and smell's nice.
The atmosphere is super. Also thanks to Charmaine the Guest House owner. I will back soon.Keep up the good work.

Room Tip: Swallows Nest is the best of them all.

The initiative of Eco Eden to promote an eco friendly environment must be applauded. The nature is original and to be part of nature by staying in Eco Eden is worth the while. It is worth the effort to drive the gravel road. The facilities are extremely clean and the staff are both professional and friendly. Most of all it is affordable, luxurious ambiance and a unique personality.

Close to the Kruger Park and I must say the Braai was excellent with great quality of food.

Eco Eden is situated in a Nature Conservancy and when there you feel as if you are miles from civilisation. It is a pity that we stayed there at a time that we had to spend most of our day in Nelspruit with early starts each morning - Eco Eden was not ideal for this since it is 25km from town of which 12kms is on a rather poor dirt road. We enjoyed our stay but could not fully enjoy the surroundings since we spent so little time there. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The staff - Pride and Joy - were fantastic and made us feel as though we were at home. And the dinner that was prepared for us was excellent. We will be back at some stage to enjoy the peace and tranquility without having to rush into Nelspruit each day!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Our eco lodge is situated in the Croc River Mountain Conservancy only 15 minutes from Nelspruit where a number of wildlife species still roam free on 35,000 hectares of pristine wilderness. The Conservancy boasts the oldest granite outcrops on the planet and forms part of the Barberton Green Belt, an area which may become a world heritage site in future. The lodge was designed keeping the natural beauty of the area in mind. The floors, ceilings and certain furniture pieces are made of invasive gum pine and black-wood. The raised ceilings and slate floors create a lovely cool atmosphere which does away with traditional air-conditioning which is not environmentally friendly. On the odd cold day a fire is made in one of the fireplaces. Only natural stone from the immediate surroundings was used in building the stunning retaining walls.Eco Eden offers six double deluxe rooms and the lodge can be booked on an exclusive basis for groups. Dinner is served in the dining room, on one of the wooden decks or around a camp fire in the boma.We are not fenced in; hence the kudu, bushbuck and duiker come right onto our doorstep to help themselves to any flowers on offer. In absence of a colourful flower garden some of the interior walls have been painted bright colours. Our staff is passionate about nature conservation and manage a number of eco projects like responsible waste, organic composting, water recycling, fire control, clearing of alien invasive plants, indigenous greening, tree tagging, bird identification, anti-poaching and introduction of species like the yellow billed ox-pecker to promote bio-diversity.Relax, enjoy and preserve it with us! ... more   less
