Stayed here for one night before a trip into the Kruger NP. Easy to find in a good location near Hazyview. We were welcomed by name by Carol upon our arrival. We had a really good spacious room with a balcony overlooking the gardens. Plenty of birds about including a couple of woodpeckers. You are free to roam the lemon orchards outside the grounds but didn't see any hippo or crocodile which frequent the river. Both breakfast and the evening meal was cooked by Gavin and were excellent. We booked the three course evening meal but didn't know what we were having until we arrived. If you are a fussy eater, you could always check in advance. There was a big log fire in the main room and a good selection of drinks in the honesty bar. You just tick off what drinks you have had. The wine was priced fairly at around double supermarket price? Gavin helped with some routes in Kruger and tipped us off with the location of leopard and wild dog sightings that day. The place has a nice atmosphere which is enhanced by the great hospitality of Carol & Gavin. Next time we are in the area, we will stay again.
