“Nature's Beauty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2014

I visited this attraction recently and found the scenery stunning and absolutely worthwhile. If you don't mind the noise of busloads of school kids, and you can stomach the litter and African arts and crafts stalls that clutters the parking area, poor access control etc, the scenery is well worth it.

“Stunning views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2014

I visited with my husband whilst on our honeymoon. This canyon is simply breathtaking. There are various vantage points from which to view the canyon, and all of them are equally amazing. The river was a beautiful turquoise blue colour when we visited, which contrasted wonderfully with the brown and orange tones of the canyon. It is a short walk from the car park to the viewing points. Safety wardens patrol the area to make sure people do not venture too close to the edge. There is a fence, but this is still a good idea. Go, and don't forget your camera!

“Wonderful place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2014

The Blyde River Canyon is the biggest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon. It is so beautiful and easy to see. It's not very crowded and it's really worth it.

“Breathtaking views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2014

There are few places to go to see such vast mountains untouched by society. You will see breathtaking waterfalls, canyons and vast expanses of virgin land. If your in the area add this to your trip!

“A Drive with a View, beware of the Potholes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2014

without children. Took our pre-teens to this part of the world to view the beautiful landscape and views. Still great views, only eveywhere are paid attractions unlike in the past where it was free. The roads are also filled with potholes, beware, especially the R535, avoid at all costs unless you have a hovercraft. The Graskop is a central location, wnet past is at least three times as we stayed in Hazyview.
