Great team-time at the lapa at our favourite Watoto. I suggest a review of housekeeping disciplines. Many tents werent prepared, elec. blanket left on, papers in shower. We arrived to unmade beds and werent told which tent to choose.

Our weekend that we spent at Shikwaru Lodge was very good the staff was friendly, the accommodation was clean well maintained and had everything needed for our stay and was very well priced. The highlight of our stay was the game drive even though the game viewing was the best our guide Barney was very knowledgeable teaching us about the flora and the uses of the plants which was very informative “thanks Barney”.

Thank you to the management and staff for a well-run Shikwaru Lodge keep up the excellence, I am sure you all are proud to be part of Shikwaru Lodge.

If you need to escape from the rush, Shikwaru Lodge is just the place!!! Good clean self catering accommodation. You can arrange beforehand with Management to enjoy breakfast or dinner at the restaurant located at the Main Building. Some of the camp sites are around 4-5km away from the Main Building. Remember to visit the Lodge with a four wheel drive vehicle for easy access on roads while doing game viewing. Game breeding projects available to view on the adjacent estate.

This is the best South African 3 star lodge you will find. The staff are terrific - from management to cleaners to cooks to chef to wildlife expert, etc.

Located in the Waterburg mountains in Limpopo the lodge has great game watching as well as excellent accommodations. The food, specially prepared by a local chef is terrific - breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The local wildlife expert, Bannie, literally "knows everything". A game tour, "eco-tour" with Bannie is a once in a life-time experience. Enjoy the pool or have a relaxing massage.

There are miles of trails to drive for game and great walking paths near the lodge.

I have been to Shikwaru many times and look forward to my next visit.

Especially due to the outstanding staff service, I give Shikwaru my highest recommendation.

Room Tip: Try the rooms at the highest level. Great area with a place for bonfires every night.
