I would award Angelina's five stars for food and zero stars for atmosphere. On Saturday night we made five o'clock reservations for four, and these were honored promptly. But it soon became clear that Angelina's building is far too small to accomodate everyone who wants to eat there. Before our entrees arrived, all the tables were occupied and every spare inch of space in the aisles filled with the overflow of diners who wanted a table and were willing to wait for one indefinitely. Our food was delicious and there was plenty of it, but we were continually jostled from behind by envious latecomers who were standing over our shoulders watching us eat it. The friendly and hardworking wait staff had to fight their way through the waiting hordes to deliver the food from the kitchen to seated patrons, and we gave up trying to discern a clear path to the restrooms. We could only enjoy the restaurant experience by holding fast to our sense of humor.
Prosperity is a good thing, but Angelina's has reached the saturation point. It is past time for management to seek a new and more spacious location.
