“Fine dining as a spectator sport”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2009

I would award Angelina's five stars for food and zero stars for atmosphere. On Saturday night we made five o'clock reservations for four, and these were honored promptly. But it soon became clear that Angelina's building is far too small to accomodate everyone who wants to eat there. Before our entrees arrived, all the tables were occupied and every spare inch of space in the aisles filled with the overflow of diners who wanted a table and were willing to wait for one indefinitely. Our food was delicious and there was plenty of it, but we were continually jostled from behind by envious latecomers who were standing over our shoulders watching us eat it. The friendly and hardworking wait staff had to fight their way through the waiting hordes to deliver the food from the kitchen to seated patrons, and we gave up trying to discern a clear path to the restrooms. We could only enjoy the restaurant experience by holding fast to our sense of humor.

Prosperity is a good thing, but Angelina's has reached the saturation point. It is past time for management to seek a new and more spacious location.

“Definitely perfetto!”

The best culinary experience in our West USA trip so far. We enjoyed the service and the food. Very nice and joyful staff, we just enjoyed every bite of our entrées. The garlic bread and the salad kindly offered by the house were very tasteful. Definitely to recommend if you're in environs.

“YUM!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2009

We have been going to Lake Havasu for six years and just discovered this most delightful Italian Restaurant. It is truly Havasu's "Best Kept Secret". My Chicken Piccata was the best I have ever had and my husband's Lasagna was up there with the best he has ever had. We left very full, satisfied and happy. The atmosphere was lively and the service was extremely friendly. We will be going back again and again. Compliments to the family!

“What a Find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2008

Angelina's is a fabulous Italian restaurant in an otherwise culinary-challenged town. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is nostalgic and fun. Like being in a family run restaurant in Italy. We went there for lunch and will definitely return for dinner AND lunch on our next trip to Havasu to visit family. Our waitress was the chef's wife and she was correct when she told us that everything on the menu was delicious. The chef's red sauce was a special delight. It was incorporated in each of our sandwiches and we all commented on how light and fresh it tasted. The Italian rum cake was a great finish to an outstanding lunch, Don't let the difficulty in finding it or the nondiscript look of the building it is in deter you. Once you've eaten there you'll join us in saying, "Bravo, Angelina's!"
