Booked this month's ago and even spoke to the owner by phone. Then when we got here from CA, called and he canceled our ride saying because we were the only 2 booked !! Very lame excuse and very disappointed ! There is a lot going on here this weekend and while I can't be sure, I think he may have booked a larger group and bumped us 2. Well only be here two days and no real time to find another tour. I tried calling another operator and they are fully booked thru the weekend.

Took the all day jetboat tour with Bluewater charters from Lake Havasu City up the Colorado River through Topock Gorge to the Pirates Cove Resort on the California side. Trip up took approx 1.5 hrs, then 1.5 hr lunch break at the resort then the 1.5 return. This was a really great trip with fantastic scenery, especially in the gorge. The boat pilot and assistant were excellent at stopping and circling to point out wildlife and geological formations while giving a very informative commentary on the history of this section of the Colorado River. Everyone got time for photos, the boat was comfortable and the 3 in our group all felt this trip was well worth the $45 plus tax/pp charge. This is a trip that should not be missed while in LHC. The desert scenery is stark but beautiful in its own way. The history of the paddlewheelers was fascinating. Well done guys!

Our group of 38 people took a tour from Lake Havasu to Needles and had lunch at the Pirates Cove Resturant. The scenery through the rocky section of the river was fantastic and the tour was very informative as it was narrated all the way back. Captian Ken slowed down and circled at all the sites along the way so we could take pictures. We saw some Mountain Sheep, one lone Mule, a ferrel Wild Pig, many Ducks and a lone Bald Eagle.fishing on the river. The final consensus was very favorable from the whole group and we are looking forward to taking another tour next winter to the Southern end of the lake.

We took this tour in January 2010; the main problem is that a lot of the scenery around Lake Havasu just isn't that pretty. But the staff was knowledgeable and quite nice; our problem was not being able to hear a good bit of the historical explanation and not being able to notify the speaker since he was also upstairs steering the boat. Next time I'd ask in advance how to alert him if this problem persists, because it would have been interesting to hear it all.

This boat had the nicest bathroom of any tour boat I've ever been on!

We paid extra for better seating, thinking that would guarantee a front-row seat. It didn't, although we had more comfortable chairs than bench seats. However, we ended up spending a lot of the time out back in the open air, where we could hear better although we couldn't see what was in front of us. So I wouldn't pay for the upgraded seating unless you are guaranteed the very front seats or if you really need the more comfortable, individual seats.

The staff on this boat was very nice as well as knowledgeable; we did have trouble hearing the history guide (who was also the captain) and didn't know how to reach him to let him know.
