We only stayed for one night at this rather cool little hotel in Lake Havasu as it was the 3rd from last hotel on our Virgin fly drive. Lake Havasu is a smallish town on a man made lake which is home to the original London Bridge. So if you work in London and work more importantly right next to London Bridge it was quite cool. The hotel is sort of boutique'y with a nice clean feel. When we arrived it was the middle of Sunday and the lake seemed to be quite buzzing. We settled down and went in search of Jet Skis only to be told that most were closing for the evening (this was only about 4pm so a bit of a shame). I guess being a Sunday and only one night we weren't really sure what we'd get up to. We went out for an evening meal and outside Heat is an open air bar which was quite nice but guessing as it was a Sunday it isn't usually that quiet. We went to a restaurant at the place opposite which was ok but nothing special. The highlight of our little stay was what we did the next morning.
On being told the afternoon before every where was closing up we took the car out for a little drive round the lake and found a little beach that was more on the lake then where Heat is (there is sort of a 5kph speed limit in a section of the lake which was where most of the jet ski places we saw were and I think this is why they close early as it takes about half an hour from there to get out to the lake). At this little beach was a place doing jet skis who were only closing up at 6pm so if we had of left earlier we could have used them. We spoke with them and they said they would be back at 8am the next morning so we thought why not. The two guys were quite chilled and when asked about the filming of Piranha couldn't wait to tell us all about it, reminded me a bit of Fast Times at Ridgemount High!
Overall the hotel was nice in a great location, one thing was that the spa bath didn't work but one night didn't seem worth complaining about. There was a nice balcony too to sit out on and over look the lake.
