Stayed at Cattail Cove Campground, $31 for online reservation.

We came in ~6-7pm to find a motorhome parked in our site. The camp host was apologetic and let us stay in another site but he did mention that the online system was having problems. During the busy times, you may want to call beforehand to make sure that your site is still available -it would be a pain to drive out there and find there was no space.

We only did a quick overnight but the CG seemed good - women's bathrooms were spotless (men's apparently were not), our site was clean but not level. Nice picnic table. There was a free talk at the little amphitheater. Behind the bathrooms are the dumpsters and a sink to wash dishes. There was a separate area for cleaning fish.

I love Lake Havasu City Arizona. The balloons fill up the COOL morning air and drift towards the lake. The majestic feel of this event is breathtaking. Worth going!

We visited in 1971 or 1972 and couldn't wait to get back home. At that tome there was absoutely nothing but the bridge. There was a couple trees with a water faucet and 1 grocery store.
This time we were amazed how the city grew. A lot more stores to go into. A rummage market that is huge. they now have a hospital. Our friend took me down to see the Aquq center. This place is astrounding. They even have a wave pool. They also hold other activities in this building.

I love Lake Havasu City. It is a small community along the Colorado River. The lake is a by product of the Parker Dam to the south. You can boat all the way from Parker, AZ to Laughlin, NV., but don't forget to pull into the channel, tie your boat at the London Bridge Resort and go in to Martini Bay for a nice meal. The London Bridge is an interesting feature to behold; visit the small Lake Havasu Museum for details about its reconstruction over the channel. There are lots of jet skis, kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards and other water vehicles for rent at reasonable costs. You can walk along the channel and the lake into Rotary Park to south, let the kids play on the playground equipment and feed the ducks. Or take the dogs to play in the doggie park on the north side of the channel. There are many good restaurants in the area, some of my personal favorites: La Vita Dolce, Angelinas, Shugrues and Barley Brothers Island Mall Brewery. In town, on Main Street there is the Flying X, country western saloon complete with live bands and line dancing lessons. Or go across the street to Jersey Grill or the Red Onion for a bite to eat. There is even a live theatre in town with plays most weekends.. I enjoy this town so much and can't say enough good things about it.

The lake is great for boating and recreation. Its between AZ and CA. We went for a short boat ride, and saw a canyon in the mountains. It is quite large. Sunsets over the lake are beautiful. Not much to say here. We have them in New Hampshire.
