Very large town with all amenities. Good supermarket for picnic food and fresh produce. We went late in the season and in the midweek, so not very busy.

Wonderful place. Loads to see and do no matter what time of year you go. Plenty of places to walk, the walk along one side of the channel, over the bridge and along the other side is lovely (just remember you have to walk all the way back though!) People very friendly. Lots and lots of restaurants offering great food.

This lake is a real gem. My wife and I have visited many times and just love the lake. We currently live in Florida less than 2 miles from the ocean and actually prefer to spend our time here. The lake is big enough to explore for hours, yet small enough not to get lost on (plus it's a lake....hard to get lost on a lake, but you know what I mean). It can get busy during holidays, but sometimes that just adds to the fun. The weather is almost always good and the people we've met have almost all been very friendly.

It takes a special effort to get to Lake Havasu; it's not on a major highway. So before you go, consider:

If you want lots of noise: jet skis, water skis, big boats, this is the place for you on a holiday weekend.

If you want some quiet, and or a place to enjoy some nature, come another time, or go someplace else.

When a special bird shows (like the Yellow-billed Loon or the recent Brown Booby) it is worth the effort to go to the lake. In quiet times, birding can be good--lots of grebes and more.

Lake front walking paths & shopping. City easy to navagate, People friendly nice restaurants allthru the city. Really no bad areas. Plenty of things to do as 4 wheeling in desert. Boating, hiking-walking. Many other things - a good variety.
