Was a day visitor. Loved the availability of stock at shop. It was well stocked with fruits, meat, and other basic necessities. While they were slightly pricier than outside, it was still reasonably priced. Patrol was also surprisingly reasonably priced (only 0.05 more expensive than outside).

Would continue to stay at other camps as there is lesser game viewing opportunities along this stretch of road compared to lower sabie and satara area.

Skukuza restcamp is the biggest camp in Kruger NP. There is a shop, restaurants a museum petrol station and day visitors area.
The chalets BD3 are spacious with outdoor kitchen with hotplate and braai.
Bathroom is small but oke. Daily cleaning.
Perfect place to drive to Lower Sabie or other H and S roads. Lake Panic is a must see. Birdloving Paradise and beautifull Sunrise and sunsets.

We went camping here for a few days. Overall the camp is in good condition and clean but doors are lacking attention and also the thatched roofs. The tumble drier has been out of order for a long time but lucky the other one is still working. Shop is well stocked and we have noticed that the prices are much better. The staff at reception are outstanding and all walk the extra mile. On the other hand the Hon. Rangers who checked out permits could have been friendlier and also introduced themselves.

Stay here, don't stay in one of the hotels outside the gate. The rest camps are where you want to be if you want to maximise your time seeing wildlife. Skukuza's huts aren't as spacious or as well appointed as those in other camps (Olifants is nicer) but it's a perfect stop for one night just inside the gate, especially if you're driving from Johannesburg or flying into Skukuza airport. The camp offers amenities including a shop that sells everything that you forgot to bring, and a restaurant (but really you ought instead to take advantage of the barbecue grill outside your hut). There is even wifi, in and around the restaurant building.

Room Tip: Book early! It's always full. Or else use a tour operator who knows the staff and gets dibs on cancellations, e.g. Endless Summer Tours.

Really had a great BBQ at our cabins cooked by our guides- Matt Greeff Safaris- and allowed us to get an early start for our day 2. Gift shop is excellent. Be careful to remember where your cabin is located because there are a lot of streets & not well marked if you are walking around at night.
