I stayed 2-6 April, 2018; for four nights, for vacation.
Skukuza is a very practical stop-over, as it is the most extensively developed camp, with both shops and restaurants. The proximity to the Skukuza Airport makes thsi camp a very practical star and/or end of a trip to Kruger. Definitely stop at the Cattle Baron restaurant, which is excellent!
While Skukza proves a wonderful springboard to exploring the south-west parts of the Park,it is also the area of the part most densely populated by "outside" game drives, which are generally run by rude and inconsiderate drivers who are happy to ruin a paying guests experience of the park, if it might improve their tip from the people they are ferrying around the park. This is an increasingly unpleasant and worrying problem at Kruger.More
