I stayed over a weekend and was privileged to have one of the guesthouses on the edge of the camp, so after check in .
We arrived I the camp at around 2pm and it took about 45 minutes just to check in. Then we decided to go down to the restaurant and fast food area. On arrival, I thought that maybe there was a political rally or music concert or something - the place was inundated with people and I was astounded that so many people were in the camp - was like visiting the Rand Show on opening day in the olden days!
I suspect that the Kruger Park is now allowing so many day visitors in on weekends and the place is now so damn crowded during this time that the idea of a peaceful and tranquil visit to this camp at the wrong timeMore
