Singita Lebombo Lodge
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed December 13, 2013

We have just returned from three idyllic days at Singita Lebombo. While everything that other reviewers have said is absolutely true - it only tells half the story. This is a place made in heaven and no descriptions or superlatives can really do it justice.
The room, food and service are all top class and the attention to detail is breathtaking. The staff are all magnificently excellent - but we do want to single out three who were really quite, quite exceptional and left a lasting impression on our hearts. Sarah was the most warm, friendly, unassuming person who made us feel right at home. Then our banakeli, Agreement - what a delightful, helpful person. And finally the young intern Modjadji - a smile that goes on forever.
The whole experience was truly unforgettable.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end our 2.5 week honeymoon in SA. A beautiful and luxurious lodge with excellent food, wine, spa and service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and our guide and tracker (Chris and Howard) were amazing at locating game on our bush drives (even in pitch darkness!) We learnt so much from from them on these drives and it really helped to make the whole experience unforgettable. On our last evening drive, they found the most amazing place for our last sundowner drinks with a wonderful view of the sunset over Kruger....such a fantastic memory. A truly spectacular place, worth every single penny and more....wow, wow and WOW!!

Excellent modern lodge lost in the middle of nowhere in a Kruger park private reserve .
The rooms are fabulous , the food excellent and the staff most welcoming . the site is gorgeous and you will be able to see a lot of wild animals with a team of very friendly rangers and trackers . If you enjoy shopping , there is a tremendous " boutique " .
This is our 14th stay all over in Africa for safaris , but our first one in South Africa . Just one of the top .

Thank you to Emma Booth and Lianke Botha for making Grethe Muller and myself at home during our first trip to Singita Lebombo on 7 October. The location, atmosphere and wonderful service sets this lodge apart from the rest. The rooms are magnificent, to say the least, and so are the wonderful amenities and extra touches in the rooms. The service during dinner and breakfast was much more than five star, with your every need being attended to. All the staff were extremely friendly and genuinely interested in keeping guests happy. Singita Lebombo is my favourite place in the world, and I can honestly recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine lodge experience with the best service and care in the world. I cannot wait to return!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a good view of the river!

We had the most wonderful honey moon in Singita Lebombo. First you feel the africa adventure when arriving by very small plane in a dirty airstrip, then you get to Singita to the most luxurious and welcoming experience. The room is amazing, spacious, confortable and witha breaftaking view to the wild. The food is top quality. The service is perfect and friendly. We had the chance to view the big five animals, a pack of 10 plus lions hunting buffalos and also food and beverage in the wild every day in the beautiful sunset. Our guide, Jared and our driver, Glass were amazing. The spa service very good...try the orange monkey massage. We hope visiting again soon another Singita Lodge with our daughter.

I agree with all the superlatives of the previous reviewers; however, for us seeing prides of over 20 lions was incredible. No where else have we seen more than 9 at a time. Cubs galore. The only negative is that this is a VERY rocky property, so if you have back problems, you may not be happy (although, for me, the masseuse at our next stop - Singita Ebony - was able to relieve the muscle spasms).
Sleeping on our balcony on a beautifully draped bed was delightful.
