“Great camp!”
Reviewed May 1, 2012 via mobile

The camp is wonderful. Beautiful river front location. We saw elephants, crocs, hippo from our Patio. The chalets are private, and are great if you want to get away from the craziness of the bigger Kruger camps. Staff were great too. The only complaint that I have (which is unrelated to the camp itself) is that game was very sparse in this region. We drove for hours without seeing anything! Not even birds.

Stayed April 2012

This camp in the central area of Kruger National Park is a hidden gem. The camp chalets overlook the river with large areas of lawn and shady trees. Happy hippos inhabit the river and can be seen at any time of the day. There is a small hide from which you can view the hippo at closer range and any visiting elephants and good variety of birdlife. This camp is quiet and peaceful and is ideal if you need a couple of days of calm rejuvenation or quiet reflection. The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly. There is no shop or restaurant but there is a lovely small pool area. The guided walks from this camp are recommended. Game is perhaps a little more sparse but elephant, nyala, hyena, impala, kudu and giraffe are common.
