We stayed at the bush camp several years ago. It was recommended to us by friends and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were able to walk with the two orphaned elephants and a lioness cub. Wonderful staff and a great place. Recommend to anyone for a few nights or as a base to explore southern Kruger area.

Room Tip: Bush camp is self catering with large group kitchen. we shared with a small group and it was a love...

Didn't even know about the lodge as we were looking for self-catering facilities. But I can only say we had an incredible time. The staff was so warm and accommodating. The "chalets" were more rustic, yet VERY clean and comfortable with very nice modern ensuite bath. The experience, can't be beat! I chose this online, couldn't have chosen better. David, the owners son did our walks and drives, so knowledgable, funny, a real pleasure. Meeting cheetahs and lions, well, what can I say, made this cat lovers dreams come true! We also were welcomed to join the lodge guests at dinner, and the experience there was great too! Really great ambience and food. OUTSTANDING all around! We are already talking about returning! And we would still stay in the Bush Camp, the back to nature approach seems more the feel of Afrique.

Room Tip: We had the chalet at the end of the path, "Caracal." This meant no one even had to come pa...

This is truly an amazing place! The feeling you get when you get so up close and personal with the animals is just incredible. Staff is 1st class. Rangers with an excess of knowledge. Food is wonderful and plenty. Rooms are good. I recommend it to everybody, and would like to go back as soon as possible.

A perfect place for a family safari experience! Probably the place to be to get really close to cheetah and lion cubs.
The first time we arrived here as guests, but when we left, we dit leave a family behind. The warmt and the kindnis of the staff is amazing. The food is verry good. I loved Black Beaty's 'Amarula cream dessert'. We'll visit this lovely place for the 4th time, in a couple of months.
In the morning you'll start with al walk in to a big 5 park. You'll be joined by cheetah or lion cubs. Afterwards there is breakfast and then it's time for a jeepsafari. After lunch there is some relaxing time before you'll go on a afternoon/evening safari. There will be plenty of photo opportunity's and you'll lear a lot about the annimals.
Dinner will probably be next to the firepace in the boma.

Have fun!!!!

I can't say enough (positive) about this place - the food, the staff, the rooms - all are excellent and if you are even considering (slightly) to stay in the southern portion of Kruger National Park, please do yourself a favor and stay here. They are so involved in maintaining the natural environment and are very passionate about what they do. This spills over to how they maintain the property, the food presentation and the tours. It was a wonderful, wonderful trip!!

We booked 2 nights for my husbands birthday 2 years ago. We arrived before the check-in time but we were welcomed by Jackes who was also our ranger. After 1 hour we were shown our room by the housekeeper. The rooms are cool, clean with comfortable beds. We relax and shower after a long 5 hour drive form Johannesburg. At 16h00 we went to the game drive at that time we were the only guest in the lodge. Jackes who is very informative about the wild life answered all our questions. We saw wildebees, springbok, giraffes and met (becky) the elephant and her baby. We came back eat supper and went to sleep. The next morning we went for a bush walk with some other guest who checked in late at night. That couple was fantastic with their 8 year old son. We learn more about the trees and herbs from Jackes. During the day we relaxed in a pool. Later at 4 p.m we went for our second game drive but now we were joined by other guest who had noisy kids, those kids were always talking and screeming the whole game that was not good for us. But we saw a lot of animals and lions kept in cages and "matumba" the lion that act with Leon Schuster. Tshukudu had white lions too,we also saw a leopard. After the game drive it was late and we ate supper at the boma, still those kids were making noise and refuse to sit and eat their food, they were running around and jumping up and down. Well but that was not the lodges fault. The next day we went to our last bush walk where we walk with 2 lion cubs and a dog which always fought with lions (play)but a little bit bigger that experience was exciting, Jackes informed the guest with kids that small kids are not allowed to do bush walk, that was fair for everyone. Kids stay behind with their mother. We went to the other side of the lodge (tented camp) where we saw a chetaah with small babies, wild dog etc. We came back ate our breakfast and left. That was a great experience. I will visit Tshukudu again just to walk with a lion.
