We were very lucky to be able to take advantage of their July special at R525 for the room, with breakfast included. This Guest House looks directly over the beach - it couldn't be nearer. The room was very comfortable with a king size bed and a balcony to sit out on. There were 2 comfy chairs set in front of the window so you could just sit and watch the waves. The place is very well kept and maintained and we could find no fault in anything. The owners parents, Lettie and Patrick, were in attendance and made us most welcome. Breakfast was excellent with omelettes as an addition to the normal English breakfast fare. There was a small clay tile heated up and put in the toast basket to keep the toast warm. The jams were in small individual jars on each table (instead of those ghastly pot of gold jam portions) and were home made. Your every need is catered for. This is a 6 out of 5 rating.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the main house as these have the best sea views. We had room 4. This place wou...

Went there with a couple of friends and had booked two rooms in the manor hoiuse with sea view. Owner had made a mistake and we were double booked and were offered to stay in the annex apartment. We were quite disappointed but were offered a dinner at a famous restaurant instead-nothing to do about it. Lots of apologizes can't really make up for that difference that we met the last night when we had the sea view rooms! Fantastic view and very nice furnitured.
Breakfast not that glorious, but served by nice staff. Beach fantastic, and the stairs down to the beach were ok. And-we saw the dolphins! I expect that if we had got the two rooms from the beginning it would all had been a success!

We stayed here just for one night in October, and regretted that it was just the one. It is in a beautiful location on the beach, and we were lucky to have a balcony overlooking the sea, and allowed us to have a great pre-breakfast walk along the beach. The rooms were lovely, breakfast very good, and if you love the sight/sound of the ocean, then this B&B is in a perfect spot. A word of warning, if you do go here, double check the directions as the ones we downloaded were incorrect.

We took a last minute trip up to the Wilderness and on our 2nd night found this amazing gem hidden on the hill! Not only were we greeted with a warm smile, but we were also upgraded from a family room to the beautiful corner room with balcony, which provided a panoramic view of the ocean. The room had everything we could need and was nicely finished, along with a huge bath!

André, Mathilda and all of their staff were extremely friendly and gladly offered us (great) advice on activities & restaurants in the area. Well worth every cent and we look forward to a return trip someday soon :)

Room Tip: The corner room (between deck & pool) has stunning views & an gorgeous bathroom, and is also...

Our stay exceeded our expectations. Not only the place is gorgeous and the rooms are suites, more like apartments with kitchens at a very decent price, Andre gave us two rooms for the price of one! We were 3 adults and a child, and Andre offered an extra suite to us, saying we will be more comfortable that way - and we were! The rooms are very clean, and the view to the sea and the stairs to the beach were extraordinarily beautiful! We spent hours walking on the beach. Andre also advised us on eating in town rather than in Knysna, and he was right! Thank you so much for being a wonderful host.

We booked at Dolphin Dunes Guesthouse for 6 nights in June 2013. Our experience of the Guest House was truly special and the service we received from André was excellent! Because of the length of our stay, we were moved to a large room with amazing sea views and a separate kitchen/living room which was very much appreciated. The bedroom and outside patio had amazing views over the beaches from high up on the dune. The location of this Guest House is probably one of the best in Wilderness!
The excellent location was followed up with clean and luxurious facilities that are well maintained. A notable aspect of this Guest House is the service and welcome received from hosts André and Mathilda. From moving us to a more comfortable room to providing braai facilities, wood and recommending activities and dining options André was very helpful. I highly recommend this Guest House.
