“Favorite spot on the Garden Route”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

Wilderness NP is a great getaway for families or a group of friends. I've stayed here in self-catering cottages with friends as well as with my daughter. The staff is friendly, the cottages are well appointed and the walks in the park are lovely, especially the one to the waterfall. There's big lawn to chill out on and the canoeing on the lagoon is safe because it is very shallow.

“Canoeing”

Lovely rowing through the river mouth up to the top of the river. easy stroll to the waterfalls. scenery is spectacular! Pricing for the canoe rental might be a bit steep at R130, but it's towards a keeping up the facility so i'm all smiles :)

“Nice family outing”

We rented canoes from Eden Adventures and paddled up the river for forty minutes before hiking the last forty minutes along the board-walk. Well worth the effort.

“long walk to waterfall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

Enjoyed our walk but plan carefully. It takes a good hour each way to the waterfall and we only just made it back before dark. It's a very bumpy and tricky walk in places so you need to be fit
