We are regulars at the Dune and this is for a good reason. The Dune was already perfect but they nailed it with the major overhaul. All rooms have been redone to the next level of Luxury whilst you still can walk around barefooted.

The breakfast area has moved to the first floor with great ocean views. Will be difficult to choose between the lavish breakfast and dolphins swimming near the shore.

Wilderness itself also remains a great stop with beautiful beaches, nice restaurants, nature reserve and a base for visiting golcourses.

You should go and see for yourself and enjoy

We stayed in the Dunes for just two nights and were delighted with everything about the lodge. The staff, the accommodation and the location.
The manager, Wilna, greeted us warmly on our arrival and showed us to our room overlooking the Wilderness beach (the decor and the view from the White Room is spectacular). In fact, all but one of the rooms in the lodge overlook the beach.
Wilna had pre-booked evening meals for us at Serendipity and The Girls, two of the best restaurants in Wilderness. By the way, The Girls will arrange a pickup for you at 50 rand per couple if you request it.
Wilna also made us a delicious cooked breakfast so kudos to her for making our stay at the Dunes so enjoyable.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The White Room is exceptional.

Located on a beautiful beach with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. Close to Kynsna and easy to reach from the N2 so great for breaking up a long journey between the Western and Eastern Cape. Our room has the most wonderful views, has recently been re-furbished and is extremely comfortable. Lovely pool to relax by and a beach bag for you to take to the beach including bats and a ball! Great attention to detail! Superb recommendation for dinner at Salinas.

Room Tip: Our room didn't have a deck, but many do.

Surprised to see the Dune ranked only number 13 B&B in WIlderness. In our view, it's way better than that. We had first tried to book one or two of the higher rated accommodations, but were unsuccessful in getting reservations. Next time, we'll just go direct to Dune. Our room, which was charged at a slight premium to that occupied by our friends, was excellent for our needs - specious, well equipped, with truly wonderful ocean view. The breakfast was extensive and enjoyable, and the hosting, while unobtrusive was good.

We stayed here with some friends and had a room overlooking the ocean. It was just heaven the manager and her husband were lovely and friendly and pointed us in the right direction for good food. The breakfast was one of the best we had and we were entertained by a pod of dolphins swimming past our balcony on the morning it was fab and we wished we had stayed longer.

Second time at the Dune and pleasantly surprised by some great additions and changes. Gary added a wonderful upstairs breakfast room with stunning views over the beach, and two new guest rooms which are both beautifully decorated. Most of the other rooms have been renovated and upgraded, too. Wilna, the new manager, is lovely and very helpful, and breakfast is as good as ever. No doubt the best place at the beach in Wilderness. Book early!

Room Tip: All rooms (except the Africa Room) are facing the ocean. The two new upstairs rooms are beautiful bu...
