This is the best place to go out-riding. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The horses are well looked after, well-fed and very friendly. When I am on holiday in the area I visit Perdepoort as much as I can. Amanda is a talented and capable rider and guide. The trail is suitable for novice and experienced riders. Riding here is great fun!

Perdepoort Horse Trails should be your first choice when looking for a place to ride horses.

I went on a two hour trail with a group of young people led by Amanda, the wonderful and entertaining guide. It was clear that her horses were very well looked after, in great condition. They were well behaved and responsive, unlike many of the trail type ponies one generally find. We had a range of experience in the riders taking part in the trail and Amanda was attentive to our range of needs, allowing those who were able to to canter ahead while guiding the less confident through tricky parts of the trail. The trail itself was lovely, really beautiful and unspoiled. A great way to experience the magical natural beauty of Wilderness. highly recommended and absolutely value for money.

We were staying in Wilderness for our honeymoon and were looking for some really memorable experiences. After some quick searching, we came across Perdepoort trails. The reviews on TripAdvisor were very promising so we decided to book an afternoon ride. We arrived right on time and were greeted by Amanda, the owner of Perdepoort. Unfortunately we needed to wait quite some time for other riders to arrive but this shows that Amanda is very accommodating if you're running late. The wait did however give us a chance to get comfortable with our horses. Once we started our ride, we quickly realized how absolutely beautiful this trail is. The ride takes you through some breathtaking indigenous forests on extremely well maintained routes. The horses are very well trained and even an inexperienced rider like myself should not feel uneasy. Our ride took us through some slightly technical sections (downhill and uphill) but the horses managed it all with ease and left me feeling exhilarated. Although we started late, Amanda did not cut our ride short at all and was a wonderful guide, even taking a few photos of us on the horses. Overall, I would highly recommend Perdepoort trails if you're staying in the Wilderness area.
