“Lovely view !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

We spent 2 nights at Wilderness on our trip to S.Africa and where told about Salinas by the B&B we where staying at and so pleased we went - we sat outside on the top terrace , the sun was shining what a lovely view and a place for meal. We had bottle off bubbly and a steak and it was lovely ,enjoyed 2 lovely desserts and a coffee and watch the sun set , bliss ! The waitress who looked after us was lovely too and the service was good even when it got busier and she had large table to look after too .

“No improvement since last year”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Went there during opening week a year ago -- awful food, service. Decided to give it a 2nd chance last week. Still terrible. Incredibly slow service despite only 4-5 tables occupied. Chewy calamari, soggy greasy chips -- despite warning the chef about last year's experience! Much better restaurants in the area: The Girls for food, The Views & Sails for the view, OK food.

“WOT A LOCATION!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

Best fish - kob - cannot get fresher! My partner had the free-range Botswana sirloin - didn't need a steak knife - it was so tender! Great service - super evening - the most awesome sunset over the ocean in the Western Cape! Best to make a reservation.

“Best Sirloin I have ever had”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

Went to Salina's twice in one week during the Knysna Rally. The first time was just for s dinner out and the experience was awesome. The view was beautiful as the sun was setting and when it got cooler they brought us blankets for anyone who was slightly cold. Then arrived the best Sirloin I have ever had. The manager, Massimo, claimed that it was as soft as a fillet and he was not lying.

The second time I went was for the VW Racing dinner after the rally where we used the upstairs venue with private bar and seating for 60+ people. Again the service and food was very good.

“Stunning views / friendly service / good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

From the minute we put foot into this restaurant we felt welcome. Massimo - one of the owners - took good care of us. The food was very nice and the restaurant is nicely furnished and provides great views over the beach. Fantastic location for sundowners and dinner.
