Description: Pomodoro is the meeting place of the locals and you will always find it buzzing with activity. The outside terraces offer a front row seat of the village activities which, together with the laid-back atmosphere and great food - the perfect place to while away the hours. Owner Claudio will warmly welcome you to this restaurant which they have worked so hard to make the best in the Wilderness. Pomodoro Restaurant is very serious about the quality of the food they serve. The pizzas are possibly the best on the Garden Route and the beautiful salads, antipasto, pastas, grills and seafood never fail to satisfy.

“Busy busy”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

This was our second visit (the last being 4 years ago) and we happened to sit in pretty much the same seat. This is a bustling Italian-style restaurant that is very popular in the region. It was quite busy on the Thursday evening (glad we booked) making the place very crammed and hot inside. The pizza ovens don’t help.

Food took a bit long and wasn’t the best pizza ever. The pasta was nice though. Being so busy, waiters tend to spin and general service suffers because of the kitchen backlog and the number of people in this small place during rush hour.

A plus was the option of a beer from a micro brewery - nice to see them supporting the little guy.

“A gem in Wilderness”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

We had our anniversary dinner here in the busiest time of the year (30 December) and the service was great.

The waiter was especially helpful and made us feel special throughout his busy shift.

The pizza was stunning and we will definitely come back again soon

“Great pizza and service”
Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

We had pizza and a beer when we explored Wilderness here. Friendly and attentive service and a great location. You can sit on the side walk watching people go by. We had a table facing the street. The beers were ice cold and the pizza hit the spot. We will recommend this place.

“Excellence with ambience”
Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

Outstanding supper, food was good, atmosphere was entertaining siting on the sidewalk watching the locals and holiday makers go by. Claudio the owner provided an nice warm personal touch. Definitely going to be a regular Friday night supper venue. A definite must if you are in the area.
