Visited here in busy holiday season and were glad to get a table given most other places in the village were booked up.
The seafood and food in general was pretty ordinary for a seaside resort (grilled Frozen sole) and prawns. The roasted veges were terrible - olive oil roasted frozen packet stuff that had been left to stand.
Great Forrester's lager and a friendly atmosphere does make up to an extent but the service was pedestrian and we had to remind our waiter to bring a second round of drinks - the place was not that busy!
Maybe that's why we got a table and the other places were all packed out?
