John welcomed us after we had called to ensure there was a table. The service was friendly and discrete while welcoming throughout. I had a meat and cheese platter which was a great large starter. We were pleased with this and shared it around (my companion had the lamb meatballs) as earlier we had been shark-cage-diving and had come all the way from Gansbaai with barely a bite. We ordered the combined seafood platter, and changed our mind about having some wine as it came free with the platter, a nice bottle of white Darling from the Western Cape. There were mussels, shrimps, squids in batter, there was a whole hake (I think it was) with rice, chips, tartar, mayonnaise & chilli sauce dips and salad, and a huge crayfish-tail each. We had no room for sweet. All in all, one of our pleasantest and most reasonably priced meals in South Africa so far.
