FIVE BLACK MARKS FOR THIS HOTEL
If I hadn't had to pay "up front" a month before arriving, I would have checked out the first day.
After being given the tour, "Sorry, the Pool isn't working", (I think something was lurking in its unseen depths.) "Sorry, the Lift isn't working", Sorry, the Entertainment system is also not working". Oh yes, the Cocktail Bar isn't working either.
At dinner, which I had specifically mentioned when booking, was our Silver Anniversary and wished to have A la Carte, we where offered the choice of Fish & Chips, Pizza, Pasta or a bit of Steak and to be told that they don't do A la Carte anymore. But they still advertise it on the Website.
The in-room Coffee pod machine mentioned in the rooms brochure was non existent, we had to ask for replacement Teabags. The carpet was stained, the shower stank of sewage.
If you've paid a deposit, try and get it back, cancel this place and look at one of the many excellent other stays. Be warned.

Room Tip: Take soap, we had the same sliver for 6 days.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at The Views last week, and really have to thank all the staff in making our stay memorable. From the moment that we've checked in, I still cannot find any faults, as the service was flawless and exceptional. The Room view was magnificent. I have stayed at quite a few 5 Star Hotels, but really, this was fantastic. I will always recommend anyone to stay there, and would gladly return.
My only regret was staying for one nigt only, as I should've booked for at least a week.
Special thanks to Fiona, Wandri and Morne, and for those I didn't mention, once again, Thank you.

A fantastic room and balcony and wonderful views of miles of beach. Great for walking beside the ocean. Wonderful Spa and treatments. The welcome and service from the reception/concierge staff was also first class.

However the service at breakfast and dinner was poor and offhand, more like a poorly run 3 star motel.
Also very disappointed that the swimming pool was out of action as this was one of the reasons for staying here. It looked nice on the website but no mention was made when arriving. It is on the sun deck but had an out-of-use sign on it and had been left uncovered and full of revolting stagnant water and algae, with bits of metal and gravel all around it. It looked like it had not been in use for at least 6 months and was a very unattractive sight. The Games Room was also rather tatty and seemed to be a dumping ground for old furniture and bedding.
Great views, rooms and Spa but disappointing in other ways - a shame.

Room Tip: Sea view or side sea view - not the back (mountains and car parks/gas station).

Our first experience was overwhelmingly gratifying, fantastic room , fantastic view, oh wow!!!! and then we went up to the upper deck for a refreshing, post journey dip in the pool. This was not to turn out as we had imagined. The pool is closed as it is currently leaking its way through the library ceiling into buckets strategically placed below (5 star hotel!!!!!) we did however persevere up top with no sunbed towels or waiter service, such was our fatigue. We reserved our table at the Sail restaurant and dutifully turned up at 7pm. We had a drink at the bar first and requested a bottle of champagne. After a long and tortuous conversation with the barman it was revealed that they had no champagne (5 star hotel!!!!!) we then went on to have a thoroughly awful meal served by thoroughly inexperienced staff (NOT THEIR FAULT,WHERE WERE MANAGEMENT!!!!!). It was painful to watch potentially good employees being set up to fail by bad management. Such a shame WON'T BE BACK!!!!

We only had the luxury of one night here, but could have stayed longer. Fabulous rooms with balcony & ocean views. Super clean. Food in restaurant delicious. Very relaxing. We were on honeymoon & we also got a bottle champers & a spa treatment thrown in complimentary. Cheerful & relaxing ambience. Pool side area wonderful. A must stop destination!

If you are in South Africa and traveling along the Garden Route, the Views Hotel must be an essential stop over for you. Literally just off the N2 you enter another world when you arrive at the hotel reception. The open plan nature of the building gives a great sense of light and airiness, but that is just the start.
The rooms are extremely well appointed, very spacious and comfortable.
Being perched literally on the edge of a cliff, the sea views are spectacular. If you want to chill out and take a break from driving sit on the roof top sun deck, sip a cool drink and watch the para gliders take off into the wind 50 m below you as they soar effortlessly into the sky accompanied only by roar of the waves crashing on the rocks 150m below. For evening dining there is a choice of a plush dining room or an outdoor terrace, both overlooking the sea.
The town of Wilderness is quite small but has lots of interesting small shops and cafes. Lots of wooden products. If you are a fan of old timer cars do not miss the chance to visit the dealer located on the N2 just east of the town.
The hotel is not cheap by any standards but well worth the money for that extra special visit to the amazing country that is South Africa.

This is a stunning modern small hotel with a quirky shape to it. Our room overlooked the beach and sea with massive floor to ceiling windows, and a view through them even from the bath! But beware of the sudden appearance of close-flying paragliders who launch from the open area adjoining the hotel - they could catch you in the all-together! Restaurant 'nice' but not brilliant (instead, head down to the town to The Girls). Very attentive and helpful staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea facing room.
