We stayed here for a couple of days in Jan 2012. Great views if you have sea facing room. Avoid the Lagoon view rooms as they are about 100m away from the N2 freeway, so all you will see and hear are big trucks and similar traffic. They are busy upgrading this guest lodge, so hopefully, it will be better next year.
Overall, fantastic area, lovely sea views and very good personal service from the manager, Manfred.

Room Tip: One of the best family guest houses in Wilderness. Book a seaview room otherwise dont waste your time.

The Pink Lodge on the Beach was our first accommodation on our trip along the Garden Route. We could not have asked for a better start to our South Africa experience. The staff and management went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and the quality of the accommodation was exceptional. We would highly recommend The Pink Lodge on the Beach.

Room Tip: It is worth paying a little more and getting an appartment that looks out on to the beach and sea. An amazing place to stay.

Let's start with the location: majestic! A wide view over the ocean and an incredible beach at your feet!
As to the accomodation itself: frankly, we cannot understand all the previous glorious ratings. It is pretyy evident that not a lot of money has been invested into the house over the last few years. Lots of things are loose and some rooms really need to be refurnished. Old carpets in a humid beach front house are just not nice to look at nor very hygenic. Furthermore, it is not easy to understand why the broken stair that leads from the garden to the beach is not being fixed - it's dangerous!
This may all sound very negative, but the accomodation is actually o.k. if you do not look for perfection. Great for people with lower budgets. For others: choose another accomodation.

Elise and Leon are the hosts. They are the most caring couple who could not do enough to please. Elise will run up a meal at any time. The situation is a dream, being 50 metres from the beach, which is usually deserted. The room we had was perfectly spacious adequate and clean. The pillows however need replacing. That apart ,unless you are unduly fussy, you will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere here. I would return.

This lovely guesthouse was absolutely perfect. Warm welcome, clean, nice and very big rooms, huge big garden from where you directly can walk down to the beach, gorgeous view to the sea - could see dolphins from our bedroom, new and very friendly omanagers, good breakfast, perfect service close to the center, absolutely clean beach where you can take long walks without beeing disturbed by a road, ..... quite surrounding, each room has terrace or balcony.....just perfect
