“Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2014 via mobile

We visited The Girls, whilst on holiday in the Garden Route. Not having been here for a number of years, I then relied upon Tripadvisor for recommendations. We were pleasantly surprised with the service and quality of the food. Highly recommended and sure to visit again in the future...

“Dinner with a difference”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014

We were refered to the restaurant by Hildasheim guest lodge, and they even made a reservation for us.
When we walked in we were greeted warmly and offered a drink.
The waitress explained the meals they had on offer and actually recommended a few dishes from her first hand personal experiences.
She was also well versed with the types of wine they serve and quickly paired a bottle of wine with our meals which really enhanced the flavours. The durado was exceptional.
She was very friendly and even recommended places and activities to do in the area.
They have a curio shop that you can peruse at you leisure while sipping on a glass of wine.
It is an awesome place and is quite vibey on weekends.

“Surprisingly poor”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2014

Although the name would normally put me off, having read a few reviews and seen their overall ratings I was really keen to try The Girls. We were there on a Sunday night and were left wondering was it perhaps the chef's night off. The calamari was rubbery and boring, even though it was covered in spice. The dorado linefish portion was mean, boney and slightly overcooked and the veg it sat on was hardly cooked at all. They said their style was 'al-dente' - we reckoned they'd need to cook it for a good while longer to reach that stage.

“Hidden Jem”

Had my doubts when I saw the location, but don't let that fool you. We had a wonderful meal, with excellent service in very convivial surroundings, The steak I chose was superb, with an extremely tasty sauce. The menu is varied and the prices reasonable. All in all a fun night out, well done guys.

“Perfect little restaurant with great service and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

We got tipped to visit this restaurant, it doesn't look very amazing on the outside but it is a hidden gem. We had great service from (surprise) the girls :) and a perfect dinner here. We had such a good time, I think we were the last ones to leave that night and if we are ever in SA again, we will definetely try to go back there, very cosy environment yet high quality food, great!
