We've been here 5 years ago and were not that happy like we are this time: Superfresh wild Oysters, the fantastic Seafood Platter with all seafood cooked to the point - just perfect! All accompanied by a brilliant and affordable Sauvignon Blanc (Platter 5*) from Cape Agulhas region.
Surrounding of the restaurant is not what you normally expect, but inside it is nice. Make sure you sit outside or downstairs with hot weather; it's too hot upstairs. And definitely make a reservation in peak season.

First time we have had the privilege of sitting at the chefs table, what an amazing experience, not only did we have excellent sea food bursting with different flavors, but we saw how it was done. Waitress was very good, and knowledgeable about the food and helpful about what we should try everything from starter to desert was a wonderful experience.

We had tried several times to go to this restaurant but always managed to be in the area when they are closed for holidays (mid-year) or during the day - they only open at night.

This time we were lucky and managed to make a reservation a few days before.
We shared their largest Prawn platter which gave us a choice of 3 flavours - very intersting flavours for the prawns. (If you are msg intolerant, do ask before you order as some of the flavours may contain msg).
For starters one of us had a mixed platter which had a lovely imaginative array, spiced up with some vodka tomatoes and the other had steak tartare.
Interesting and varied wine list.
Excellent, friendly service.

If you do not like fish, seafood or steak (beef or venison) then this is no the restaurant for you. Otherwise well worth a try.

They are popular, so do book

It indeed is a difficult choice, that is why we went two times. Once for the fish and once for the meat (venison). Both were very excellent. And although you know the portions are big, the entrees are so inviting that it is difficult to resist. The presentation of the food is also original, not the classic style. But that is just the secret of this restaurant.
Friendly and helpful staff. Especially Donald is a super waiter: very natural but in a way special.

This is a very unassuming restaurant (located behind a petrol station you don't expect miracles), however, I could not be more wrong!
The food was amazing and the best seafood I've ever eaten. I ordered the seafood platter which I shared with another 2 friends and was blown away. Each piece of food was out of this world, perfectly cooked, sauce on each item was perfectly blended, nothing overpowered the taste of each prawn, mussel, piece of fish or calamari strip.
For dessert we had the tasting platter which was excellent. A full size dessert would have been too much for us but the tasting plate (which gives you just a small taste of about 5 desserts) just finished off the meal perfectly.
The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient!
I would have gone back to eat here again if I'd had more time. I'll certainly be back there again!
